  • I saw a vid about his life and later found this song and thought the song went very well with the movie. When you watch the movie you can see girls helping meat loaf become famous and stuff. Such as he was getting paid parking cars and a girl came out and though he was an actor so she had him and and thus he started to be on his way of becoming famous.

  • hes a living legend through his career

  • Absolutely love it! Saw him live last week, amazing

  • 4:10 AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA GREAT!!!

  • I was questioning who James Michael is because My Real Name is Michael James.

This is'nt shouldn't be sung by Meat Loaf because he is Rock and Roll not Honky Tong!

  • there's very few legends in their own time but Meat's one of 'em.

  • njoyed this great album in downloadmusic .im

  • if anyone's interested/haven't seen that there's a concept behind the album (in true meat style!) the link to the webpage is here and you can have a look at the sections of it :) hangcoolteddybear. com

  • This should be a big No 1 Hit ! You rock Meatloaf ! Always have, always will

  • that has to be my fav video by meat not my fav song but the video is funny as hell

  • i love this song i know it and only heard it 4 times xx

  • hilarious vid! awesome job meat loaf :3

  • Love this album..RIght up there with Bat I...Still has an amazing voice...Saw him in concert-Amazing. Puts ona better show than any new artist. Hope he makes it back to central Ohio soon...Amazing artist-Vocals are always full of emotion and his music tells a story---Can't get enough of this album...love the duet with Jack Black

  • awesome song and video, my future wife is in the video!

  • wierd for the loaf to do music like this. its moere like a rap pop and rock put together

  • who cares what the plot of the story is the chicks are hot and the song is rockin

  • love the video, but can anyone please tell me who is the soldier in the clip video?

  • Interesting stuff. Didn't quite get the video, but I dug the "cops" as much as every other red-blooded guy, and that grin at the end was hilarious.

  • @doctorx777

Agreed mate, that grin was excellent.

  • Where can I read the story this album is based on? Googling "Hang Cool Teddy Bear Kilian Kerwin" just turns up results for the album.

  • Love his music always have and always will brill album meat well done!!!!!

  • I am programming this song into medium rotation beginning today. Our listeners won't even know who this is. This could be a Top 10 hit for Meat Loaf. Good for him.

  • first off,,,, I am a gigantic fan of Meat Loaf,,,,,, second,,,, this is really good,,,,,,,,, but,,,, I do prefer the music he's done with Jim Steinman,,,,, I think the two of them made some of the greatest music of all time,,,,,,,, Anyways, like I said before this is really good,, and I'm glad his voice is better :)

  • to explain the vid: hang cool teddy bear is a concept album based on a short story by Kilian Kerwin. the idea is that a dying soldier sees his whole life pass, but not as "usual" his past but what he was supposed to encounter in the future and now never will.

  • Another Meatloaf Classic. The new album rocks. Thanks Meat for the music. Of course it wont get the recognition it deserves. A true King of Rock and Roll.

  • Join the Fan Campaign to get Meat Loaf to No 1 in the UK Singles chart on 14 June!! Look us up on facebook!

  • Wonder if the chorus of this song was inspired a little by Jim Carey. Amusing and cool.

  • I'm not going to lie, I'm having a hard time tracking the plot of this video - but it was fun! And Meat Loaf kicks ass - that doesn't hurt.

  • @badmovebaker It loosely follows the story that the album is based on. Even when you know that, though, it's still really weird.

  • @badmovebaker I agree. I have this album and I love this song; but the video makes no sense at all and detracts from the brilliance of the song.

  • James Michael's version might be fine, I agree. But - Meat Loaf is one of the greatest vocalist ever! He can sing almost everything - from opera to Elvis-like rock, and we can see that in various things that he did over the decades.

  • Meat sings the song in a "good-humored Storyteller" way and James sings it like he IS the Los Angeloser! so no need to compare.

Both versions are good in there way. I like Meats version more.

  • Well if you dont like ML you wont like MLs version, but i can assure you he HAS talent as a vocalist, and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more talent on stage than the artists you are listening to!

  • I agree with razorball2002. Meat Loaf has way more vocal talent then James Michael.. And yeah, he doesnt always sing like he did in the past but thats normal with his age...

  • @JuulYT seeign him live, he still has his voice! but this is for sure very different from stuff like life is a lemon, bat out of hell and all the powerful stuff XD

  • @1234stuff45678 Agreed

  • @1234stuff45678 Oh yes, but i think this album was more of a different story telling so it required a different form of vocals. But yes no were near as powerful. But all his other songs had meaning and needed that form of power where as this song writer has nothing on Jimmy.
