Dumb question, but wouldn't a pumpkin pie in and of itself already be 'vegan?' There's nothing in it from the meat group and a good chunk of them don't have eggs or milk included in the recipe, either.

Most Pumpkin Pies include Evaporated Milk as an ingredient. If there were no meat or any other animal based ingredient, you would be correct, the pie would be Vegan.

Actually, there are two voice overs in the video. For some reason, I kept calling corn starch baking powder by mistake. Not the ingredient you want to use though or you'll have a very puffy pie!

Pumpkin pie usually has evaporated milk. Milk is NOT vegan. Tofu adds the needed creamy consistency. Trust me, you won't even know it's in there!

People and herbivores extensively chew their food,whereas swallowing food whole is the preferred method of carnivores and omnivores.  Humans lack the raw abilities to be good hunters. We are not quick, like cats, hawks or other predators. It was not until the advent of arrowheads, hatchets and other implements that killing and capturing prey became possible.

Herbivores get vitamin C from their diets (carnivores make it internally). Again, like humans!
