I must disagree for a few reasons. They are a bit more consistent than the every "here and now", "itunes/car commercial(watever)" type band. Consistent in sound and listenability in each song. The whole album plays on the aftermath of a bad breakup which a lot of people relate to. Sometimes I need those mindless catchy harmonies, sometimes I don't but you won't catch me comparing them to U2, they're not my taste.

Bull shit this band was independent for the longest time ya ass hole their song "Sometime Around Midnight" was added to KROQ's (the largest radio station in the WORLD) playlist while they were still independent. First independent band's song put into KROQ's rotation in 10 years. Suck on that. Yeah now they're on a label but for a band like these guys that doesn't change anything they have so much musical integrity they have an UNBELIEVABLE live show and they're just an absolutely fantastic band.

I like this song the best of the ones I've heard so far... and I think I would be able to appreciate it better if I heard the melody played or sung by somebody else... I think the slightly unrefined singing style is what gives this band a large part of their unique and original style. Music isn't all about technical accuracy, its about emotion and expression. You can play everything perfectly if you want, i'd rather make the audience cry.
