I was in the kitchen and my friend was in the backyard when he suddenly saw a flash of light and ran to the kitchen, after he told me why he was scared,i took pics on the direction he said the flash light came out and we say what look like small orbs was floating up.

I personally don't share your belief, in the subject matter I am well versed in digital effects and photography as well as and having a background in physics. I am not narrow minded but since I can recreate the video's shown here with dust debri and insects it leads me to believe thats all there is.however I will continue to check in with ur channel as i do find your videos a nice watch

The interesting thing is simply that on video clips I can separate dust from spiritual activity, and on some of my videos I`ve actually reported on cam seeing this energy through my naked eyes and in complete darkness. For me this type of verified evidence is more compelling than digital stills:)

It takes a spirit less energy to be in an orb form then to be in a full form. Simple as that. They like my energy, and are choosing to stick around.. "/ lol, so now I'm seeing them like everyday. I just have to figure out if they want anything aside from just liking me.. I know that they will protect me being there.
i encountered several hundred orbs, especially in college, before i started turning off to it. There was a songwriter and singer on The Dan Akroyd House Of Blues show this week. I dont remember his name but he wrote and sang the song You May Be Done With The Devil But The Devil Aint Done With You. Based on his experience of staying with his band at a old log cabin type motel and a dream he had. There were three knocks and nobody was there when they answered. His dream was he had occult powers and was telling his friends. Too late he realizes he had no powers the Devil tricked him. Scary!

According to Wikipedia, orbs as visual artifacts are most common on "small digital or film camera photographs". Therefore, are you making sure you're not using these types of cameras to make sure you rule out this possiblity?
Here we go again. Someone has written on Wikipaedia that orbs are most common on small cameras. Well, this is a vague and not entirely honest statement based on an opinion. Big cams are unlikely to be totally IR capable, and as far as small digital still/video cams - well, isn`t this this most common medium used by most people?
I`ve seen orbs captured on professional digital still cams and old 35 mil cams used at weddings. So I wouldn`t take too much notice of this piece at all.
I just want to let you know that my intention is not to discredit you, but merely to find out the truth. I'm glad that you have your point of view and are confident enough to defend it. Perhaps you should try and edit Wikipedia to reflect your thoughts since so many people rely on it? Or you could post your thought's on the article's discussion page
Well, there's always the discussion page for that article. You can write your reasoning over there and get some feedback as to why they decide to keep it that way.
It is possible for cameras to show light refractions as orbs, but the deceit is that it is written in a way that suggests all orbs are created this way. Those `light flares` look nothing like real spiritual orbs. In another way, Wiki once suggested orbs were created by dust on the lens. But as this point was easily challengeable, the theory on camera aperatures seems to be the latest `anti orb` rhetoric.

I once wrote an article about "Biospeleothems". A alleged new form of life based entirely on minerals that was discovered by renowned venezuelan explorer Charles Brewer Carias a few years back. I wrote it because I respected the man in question, being also a friend of my father. Sadly no scientific papers were available to back his discovery, and I think there still aren't any yet, thus the article was labeled as a hoax and relegated to my user page instead.
Well, I think you should take the time to defend your point on Wikipedia. It is a resource respected by most skeptics. And wouldn't you rather convince the skeptics instead of simply maintain your believers? I think it would be great to at least have the article conclude on a note of undetermination as to the factuality of either the skeptic or believer point of view.
Interesting that. Recently scientists discovered a new strain of bacteria living on gypsum crystal in Mexico. But I have never heard of life based entirely on minerals, so this (if proven one day) would be an incredible discovery that adds to our understanding of life in this world.
I have to diagree with you Luis from the pics i've taken I caught one maybe two orbs then snapped a photo of the same spot and have had nothing show up the second time. If it were flim or digital camera's doing this the obs would show up in every single picture, I've done alot of work with orbs and found no evidence to back up it has anything to do with flim or digital cameras...
Then you should take the time to discuss this on Wikipedia's article discussion page given that Mr Halton has no time to do this. I'm not talking about entering the changes directly. Debate this with the other contributors so you can at least make the article conclude on a note of undetermination like I said before. This would be much more of an eye opener for non believers than stating the facts on a site that is pro paranormal. Don't you think it's more useful to convince the skeptics instead?

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between an orb and a bug, so I was just wondering how you determine which is which. In one of your videos you edit where you say ''This is a bug'', but it looks like a white speck, like the orbs do. I've seen 'orbs' in pics I've taken, but generally put them down to dust or bugs, would be great to be wrong though! :-)

people should read "holographic universe" by Michael Talbot. it explains how everything in the universe is a frequencie wave even solid objects and it goes into detail how the spirit world exists and how its intricately woven into our own frequency realm, our world is a result of the spitit world and not the other way round...an excellent book
Great Presentaton and very educational. I too have learned to see orbs, but I am not totally convinced they are only spirit activity. I did not have orbs began to show in my photos until I began to have repeated UFO sightings. I to have sucess in communicating with them to some degree. Please see my orb photos on mywebsite. aquawoman12, like you I do feel that paranormal activity can/often relates to UFO sightings - I have experienced several UFO sightings over the last two years. Last year I had significant paranormal activity in my home. I do feel this is of significance, I have seen more orb's small and large in my home combined with UFO sightings that as thinking it is coincidence can no longer be a justified conclusion.
I've been wondering about that too. The only orb I ever saw was HUGE, pinkish pearly color and it hovered next to my car for about 10 seconds as I was driving down the highway, then took off like a flash down the road ahead of me. Weirdest thing ever. Perhaps the dead and aliens have mastered using the same kind of energy for movement.

One of my 1st of many life changing experiences occurred as an early teen after,shall we say 'dabbling' & I ended up inviting a very eager spirit into my room.I dont recall orbs only a thick 'fog' filling the room.I would have dismissed the term ectoplasm due to it's dubious connection to early faudsters of the 1900's but,due to your vids & info I am now satisfied with that definition.Thanks for enlightening me over what has been a long standing puzzle.Looking foward to your next offering. :o)
I love capturing orbs on film, but have never seen one. Conversely, I used to often see solitary blue sparks around people's heads, but have never captured one on film. I did once see a softball-sized transparent blue orb beside a pregnant woman's head, though neither of us knew it at the time. (Seeing the blue sparks coincided with a time I was into meditation.) Great video: thoughtful, well researched, well constructed, very entertaining!
A very good video all around. I have heard of a type of "acquired sight" concerning orbs, ghosts, spirits, etc. but I didn't really give it any semblance of a thought until now. Hearing and seeing your directions to the camera man and just how accurate they were is proof enough for me. I am curious though, do you see manifested spirits as well or just orbs?
I have seen full and partial manifestations, and sometimes at the oddest times too.
But generally, I see grey or black misty figures mostly, with orbs being in the latter of appearances. I can also `see` these energies sometimes with my eyes closed as well, which is something I hope to demonstrate in the future. Thanks for commenting.

Your video was good and presented interesting theories concerning orbs.
I went to an area where everything was filmed, and you could see the orbs displaying intelligence. Some even tried to materialize into human shape. It was done on a closed circuit monitor using infrared.
As a sensitive, I once witnessed an entity try to materialize using "dots", but could not as there was nothing to hold it together...It was pitiful to witness. I think it was a remnent of a human.....
Vicky, It`s interesting you mention light dots trying to form a shape. I actually saw that too whilst filming once. It was a pair of booted trousered legs. It went as far as the knee`s and then collapsed as though into dust. I later checked the relevant spot on my camcorder and was surprised to see just two orbs shooting up out of the ground. I agree that people confuse positive and negative spirits, based on color or tone of voice. Like you said, some of the nasties are white or have nice voices, and some of the good ones are dark or have creepy deep voices on EVP.
I can't speak for others, but as for me, the reason I don't interact is usually because I can't seem to get past the wide eyed/ open mouth/ "What the heck was THAT?!" shock stage. :D

Constantine, Is it possible to see an orb with the naked eye? I thought i saw one at a civil war haunted house in my town. Its called the Octagon Hall if you wish to look up their website. Its quite interresting with a lot of information about the civil war and they have some great EVPs.
I really appreciate this video. I have two children, one with severe health issues...I can take a picture of her and then seconds later, in the same area, of my other child, and the one of my child with health issues will be filled with orbs whereas the picture of my other child has none. Very convincing if you ask me!
the prefix "para" has many meanings, including: alongside of, beside, near, resembling, beyond, apart from, so by the fact that we still refer to these captures or experiences as "para-normal" this means that we still do not accept them as "normal" even though they are prevalent in all parts of the world. around 4:27 you mention orb is of a child who used to live in house...how the heck do you know this? That's rather speculative, don't you think. Also, you mention at the end that orbs can be of all shapes and sizes yet you point out before hand that actually, the size is an artefact of the camera lens. Which is it? Sorry, but I'm very much in the all orbs are nothing more than dust particles camp.

I never suggested an orb is an artefact of the camera lens. I said the camera lens exaggerates the `aura` of light around it - thus increasing it`s size. And that`s not speculative either because I have seen live orb appearances on cam in total darkness whose relative size was bigger on review of the footage from what I had seen. (cont)
I`m afraid I can`t answer that in full. I know from experience that occasionally orbs can react to a human presence by moving towards them when asked to do so, but on other occasions they can `hot foot` away from human contact.
Regarding magnetic fields or electrical energy I can only speculate by saying that they draw energy from people which is sometimes demonstrated by the subject falling ill and weak - this is called `overshadowing`. I`ve experienced this and it is unpleasant .

I tend to monitor for orb activity when I watch other "ghost shows" that tend to reject orb activity. Many times I have seen orbs on these shows and they never mention this on the findings. Shame on them for rejecting this obvious form of paranormal contact. Thanks for your views Chris.
I have lots of orb activity in my house which always shows up more on photographs when we have parties! Unfortunately, I can't see them with the naked eye, but I totally believe in their existence. Great video. Thanks Chris!
In daylight I have seen orbs as white energy. At night is different. I see them as red dots or balls of energy. To my eyes they look like the glow that you see on on a candle taper before it burns out.
I actually see more often than a normal IR camcorder can detect, but interestingly, a camera hooked up to a live stream shows more:)

Although I do think most orb "evidence" photos are in fact dust & bugs, I cannot deny that you have presented a great deal of compelling pics & videos, which, in some case, have convinved me that they are, ideed, spirits, rather than dust.
I get hundreds of orbs in my photos from Bodmin Jail. They appear often along with a lot of mist when I speak to the spirits and ask them to show me they are there. Dust doesnt do that ;)

I have had a few odd inexplicable experiences but i have too say i dont believe nor am i remotely afraid of so called ghostly activity , i am more afraid of realtiy and i lived in a house that was so haunted its mentiioned in the doomsday book as its very old i simply get annoyed with things like that and tell them too get lost , because i cant prove or disprove i dont know what this is , i just got too say programmes like Most haunted annoy me , but its interesting other people storys xx Cathy

According to Wikipedia, orbs as visual artifacts are most common on "small digital or film camera photographs". Therefore, are you making sure you're not using these types of cameras to make sure you rule out this possiblity?

Here we go again. Someone has written on Wikipaedia that orbs are most common on small cameras. Well, this is a vague and not entirely honest statement based on an opinion. Big cams are unlikely to be totally IR capable, and as far as small digital still/video cams - well, isn`t this this most common medium used by most people?
I`ve seen orbs captured on professional digital still cams and old 35 mil cams used at weddings. So I wouldn`t take too much notice of this piece at all.

I was merely pointing out that people can take sources like Wikipaedia as factual without ever challenging the veracity of the views expressed.
I have tried editing - but it quickly reverts once more to the preferred views of those involved at a higher level in this website reference.
In short they discredit it by censorship. I just want people who are interested to open their eyes and think for themselves more.

Well the problem is this.
It is possible for cameras to show light refractions as orbs, but the deceit is that it is written in a way that suggests all orbs are created this way. Those `light flares` look nothing like real spiritual orbs. In another way, Wiki once suggested orbs were created by dust on the lens. But as this point was easily challengeable, the theory on camera aperatures seems to be the latest `anti orb` rhetoric.

I once wrote an article about "Biospeleothems". A alleged new form of life based entirely on minerals that was discovered by renowned venezuelan explorer Charles Brewer Carias a few years back. I wrote it because I respected the man in question, being also a friend of my father. Sadly no scientific papers were available to back his discovery, and I think there still aren't any yet, thus the article was labeled as a hoax and relegated to my user page instead.

Well, I think you should take the time to defend your point on Wikipedia. It is a resource respected by most skeptics. And wouldn't you rather convince the skeptics instead of simply maintain your believers? I think it would be great to at least have the article conclude on a note of undetermination as to the factuality of either the skeptic or believer point of view.

Interesting that. Recently scientists discovered a new strain of bacteria living on gypsum crystal in Mexico. But I have never heard of life based entirely on minerals, so this (if proven one day) would be an incredible discovery that adds to our understanding of life in this world.

I have to diagree with you Luis from the pics i've taken I caught one maybe two orbs then snapped a photo of the same spot and have had nothing show up the second time. If it were flim or digital camera's doing this the obs would show up in every single picture, I've done alot of work with orbs and found no evidence to back up it has anything to do with flim or digital cameras...

Then you should take the time to discuss this on Wikipedia's article discussion page given that Mr Halton has no time to do this. I'm not talking about entering the changes directly. Debate this with the other contributors so you can at least make the article conclude on a note of undetermination like I said before. This would be much more of an eye opener for non believers than stating the facts on a site that is pro paranormal. Don't you think it's more useful to convince the skeptics instead?

Thx for the response Chris. I understand what you say from your videos, but what we see on camera all seems to look the same. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between an orb and a bug, so I was just wondering how you determine which is which. In one of your videos you edit where you say ''This is a bug'', but it looks like a white speck, like the orbs do. I've seen 'orbs' in pics I've taken, but generally put them down to dust or bugs, would be great to be wrong though! :-)

Great Presentaton and very educational. I too have learned to see orbs, but I am not totally convinced they are only spirit activity. I did not have orbs began to show in my photos until I began to have repeated UFO sightings. I to have sucess in communicating with them to some degree. Please see my orb photos on mywebsite. aquawoman12, like you I do feel that paranormal activity can/often relates to UFO sightings - I have experienced several UFO sightings over the last two years. Last year I had significant paranormal activity in my home. I do feel this is of significance, I have seen more orb's small and large in my home combined with UFO sightings that as thinking it is coincidence can no longer be a justified conclusion.

I've been wondering about that too. The only orb I ever saw was HUGE, pinkish pearly color and it hovered next to my car for about 10 seconds as I was driving down the highway, then took off like a flash down the road ahead of me. Weirdest thing ever. Perhaps the dead and aliens have mastered using the same kind of energy for movement.

One of my 1st of many life changing experiences occurred as an early teen after,shall we say 'dabbling' & I ended up inviting a very eager spirit into my room.I dont recall orbs only a thick 'fog' filling the room.I would have dismissed the term ectoplasm due to it's dubious connection to early faudsters of the 1900's but,due to your vids & info I am now satisfied with that definition.Thanks for enlightening me over what has been a long standing puzzle.Looking foward to your next offering. :o)

I love capturing orbs on film, but have never seen one. Conversely, I used to often see solitary blue sparks around people's heads, but have never captured one on film. I did once see a softball-sized transparent blue orb beside a pregnant woman's head, though neither of us knew it at the time. (Seeing the blue sparks coincided with a time I was into meditation.) Great video: thoughtful, well researched, well constructed, very entertaining!

A very good video all around. I have heard of a type of "acquired sight" concerning orbs, ghosts, spirits, etc. but I didn't really give it any semblance of a thought until now. Hearing and seeing your directions to the camera man and just how accurate they were is proof enough for me. I am curious though, do you see manifested spirits as well or just orbs?

I have seen full and partial manifestations, and sometimes at the oddest times too.
But generally, I see grey or black misty figures mostly, with orbs being in the latter of appearances. I can also `see` these energies sometimes with my eyes closed as well, which is something I hope to demonstrate in the future. Thanks for commenting.

Your video was good and presented interesting theories concerning orbs.
I went to an area where everything was filmed, and you could see the orbs displaying intelligence. Some even tried to materialize into human shape. It was done on a closed circuit monitor using infrared.
As a sensitive, I once witnessed an entity try to materialize using "dots", but could not as there was nothing to hold it together...It was pitiful to witness. I think it was a remnent of a human.....

Vicky, It`s interesting you mention light dots trying to form a shape. I actually saw that too whilst filming once. It was a pair of booted trousered legs. It went as far as the knee`s and then collapsed as though into dust. I later checked the relevant spot on my camcorder and was surprised to see just two orbs shooting up out of the ground. I agree that people confuse positive and negative spirits, based on color or tone of voice. Like you said, some of the nasties are white or have nice voices, and some of the good ones are dark or have creepy deep voices on EVP.

I have two children, one with severe health issues...I can take a picture of her and then seconds later, in the same area, of my other child, and the one of my child with health issues will be filled with orbs whereas the picture of my other child has none. around 4:27 you mention orb is of a child who used to live in house...how the heck do you know this? That's rather speculative, don't you think. Also, you mention at the end that orbs can be of all shapes and sizes yet you point out before hand that actually, the size is an artefact of the camera lens. Which is it? I`m afraid I can`t answer that in full. I know from experience that occasionally orbs can react to a human presence by moving towards them when asked to do so, but on other occasions they can `hot foot` away from human contact.
Regarding magnetic fields or electrical energy I can only speculate by saying that they draw energy from people which is sometimes demonstrated by the subject falling ill and weak - this is called `overshadowing`. I`ve experienced this and it is unpleasant .

I tend to monitor for orb activity when I watch other "ghost shows" that tend to reject orb activity. Many times I have seen orbs on these shows and they never mention this on the findings. Shame on them for rejecting this obvious form of paranormal contact. Thanks for your views Chris.

In daylight I have seen orbs as white energy. At night is different. I see them as red dots or balls of energy. To my eyes they look like the glow that you see on on a candle taper before it burns out.
I actually see more often than a normal IR camcorder can detect, but interestingly, a camera hooked up to a live stream shows more:)

You are right, not all orbs are spiritual, and photographs can sometimes be the worst medium at detecting this activity.

An orb is the energy that envelopes your mind and thinking processes, that is to say on a religious aspect - your soul.
Your body may die, but this part of you continues onward.

I get hundreds of orbs in my photos from Bodmin Jail. They appear often along with a lot of mist when I speak to the spirits and ask them to show me they are there. Dust doesnt do that ;)
