Love the review great job! I am about to get into the Law Enforcement field and will need a good pair of boots but I have vary large feet so I need to know do they come in size 15 w or 16? If not what manufacturers do and where could I get them?
i have to ask, does it get even remotely cold in them in this kind of weather? I've been reading reviews that they are very comfortable in all types of extreme weather but if you could confirm this that would be great! thanks!
@georgiyt I've been very comfortable in them in cold weather, but since they are mostly geared towards law enforcement and first responders as duty boots, they are probably not meant for long cold weather operations trekking across Antarctica or something like that. What type of environment were you thinking?
@Tacticalgearhead alaska / syberia. but the reason i'm planing to get these is because they are also sutable in warm / hot weather. i'm hoping that very warm socks will suport me in the cold weather. thanks for the reply, i'll be sure to get beter socks now
Great review, just wondered if u ever had any problem with "heel rub" on these boots?
Quite a few reviews on boot forums describe the thin material as the only thing separating the heel of your foot from the stiff plastic boot support on the back of the boot itself...leading to friction and blisters.....any thoughts?
@MultiMac999 I've never had a problem with that, and I've got pretty bad feet. But that's not to say that it couldn't happen. Have a taken these boots on a trek across the Himalayas or into a combat zone? No. But I have worn them almost every single day as a duty boot. I think it's great that you are doing research before buying something, that's what I do, and that's why we started this channel to begin with, so that people can make up their own minds about a product. Thanks for watching.
You have the gear testing gig down pat . . . excellent job. Nicely focused, brief and to the point covering a wide variety of terrain and weather conditions. You even covered foreign destinations! I think you set a new bar of excellence for gear review.
They look like really good boots, and I guess the price is reasonable for what you're getting. I need to get into an actual store to try them on w/ thick socks and whatnot.
@DemonHide They are excellent boots, and I'm sure you can find them at a cheaper price now that a new line of boots are coming out. When I look for boots I usually search online for the best deal. In fact those Altama jungle boots that I showed you I got for like $29.99, I think it was from Botach Tactical.
@Tacticalgearhead For real?! Although, I've worn the GI ones and needless to say, they suck balls. I'll need to research those Altama ones to see if there are any improvements. If so, I'd probably get a pair only because it would toughen my feet up again.
@DemonHide I admit I haven't worn the jungle boots as much as the Altama desert boots, but the desert boots have been rocking me feet since 2003, and still going strong.
Nice to see Snow in August when its 100deg out.... #LOL Nice review and the boots look pretty good. I have always thought Danner and Wolverine were pretty good as well.

Have to admit though, it is pretty funny watching you shuffle in puddles.
Surprised to hear they don't set off metal detectors.
