  • omg i had a dream a loooong time ago that i was sitting in a giant golden hand like that...

  • Is it true they teach anti-japanese at schools over there?

  • Wow your accent, it's better than my native speaker teacher. I can hear very well. U've got a good voice.

  • I CAN SEE WHY YOU CAN BE A GOOD TEACHER. I MEAN U CAN BE A GOOD TEACHER ANY WHERE....

  • Wow. That mud/crap hill looked like a nice place to put a house. Have fun! "It's really good!" LOL. Keep telling yourself that. It's not a lie if you believe it...

  • Looking for Alaska is such a good book ^^

  • @natashannatalia it is possible to lose weight going to Korea. I lost 10lbs on 2 weeks. I was 135 then dropped to 125. The food was bland when I got there but ihot used to it. I walked 10 hrs a day sightseeing and I took breaks to eat. Thats one of the reasons y I wanna go teach in Korea. Great video!

  • did you lose a lot of weight???

  • i want to go to south korea sooooooo bad, so many bands i want to see,

MBLAQ, 2NE1, SuJu, ah the list goes on :')

  • @EllieDyme09 I don't want to sound harsh or anything, but if you plan on going to Korea just to see these Kpop groups you're gonna be in a culture shock because Korea doesn't revolve around its music industry. Just like if you heard a Korean say they want to visit America because of its Music. Wouldn't make that much sence.

  • who in the hell disliked this video >:o!

  • u seem like a cool person to hang out with :)

  • hahahahahahaha obama socks .. that's so awesome.

  • okay sooooo you are the cutest person EVER!

  • I like your video and it's interesting. I think it's a realistic view that foreigners can have.

  • @ASDQWE8701 nuh uh alot of people here love koreans

  • @ASDQWE8701

youtube wo mitara nihonjin ga kichigaini miemasu

  • going and standing in front of someone to take a picture of them secretly! yes!! we call that "casu-pan" pronounced kajjj-pan (like the first part of the word "casual" haha)

  • Brb, writing down the date for 'make friends with a mailbox day' in my notebook so I won't forget this year ^_^

  • haha i luv u

  • Green tea ice cream is sick, i mean that in a bad way... ughhh

  • your video made me literally lol. thank you. :) ::packs bags to move to korea::

  • Oh you are such a delightful person! I'm sorry the people act that way. I haven't been to Korea since I was four years old. . .now I'm 19. I plan to go in 2012 but I feel nervous because both of my parents are South Korean. . .but I'm completely whitewashed so I'm pretty sure I'd be laughed at. Sigh.

  • You speak fast, but I like you!

  • i was in south korea n a bunch of teen girls came takin pics of me n my frend thinking we were american movie stars...we let them think we were cause it was too much fun. :) lol

  • can you fedEX dog meat ? =-)

    (just being cute! {really hard})

  • i am!

i will be here till july. hah.

    hmmm...

something fun to remind me of home/put on my walls would be great.

  • Okay, I have lots of time then.

  • @hopeonatenspeed

Are you going back to Korea some time in the future?

  • so...watching you high-five a giant hand sculpture pretty much made my entire day! that's awesome. and i totally want to send you something...i'm not sure what..but it would be cool. lol

  • do it!

i lovelovelove packages of any kind.

    they make my heart happy.

  • if i sent to a painting what would you want it to be like?

  • hmm...

    i'm not sure...

i'll be vague and say something happy. hah.

  • wow that place looks beautiful! Now I'm adding South Korea to the places I want to go...lol :)

-Also, what are you doing there? school? or just vacation?

-that Electric Kindergarten shirt--so weird and yet so jokes ;)

  • i'm teaching english for a year.

  • South Korea is cool, but not as cool as NJ :-)

  • You can't say that until you've been there. I live in NJ and go to South Korea yearly and you can't just compare the two.

  • I'm just joking of course :-)

  • You seem "most honored" to be in south korea. Im sure they are "most honored" to have you.

  • Love the Obama socks South Korea has!!!!!!!! :D And that copy of Looking for Alaska looks friggin' awesome!!!! This vid seriously makes me want to visit South Korea. Especially if they have good green tea ice cream. <3

Happy Make Friends With a Mailbox Day!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

  • Hey!

I saw you left a comment on my channel and hope that we can start a dialogue.

I very much enjoyed your video and would love to send you some of my photography for your walls! Except, what's your address?

Anyways, I appreciate it and will be making (At your request) a video for make friends with a mailbox day, especially since my video ideas have been lame, far, and inbetween!

Have a good one and good luck abroad!

    -Taylor

  • i'm all for dialogue.

    although,

youtube comments aren't always the most efficient place for it. haha.

i would love to recieve some of your photography for my walls! the link to my mailing address is in the side bar. message me if you can't find it, and i'll send you one back with the address. hah.

yes! do it! make friends with a mailbox day will be so fantastic! i actually just finished editing my video for it. hah.

  • ok thanks paige now i want a freakin electric kindergarten shirt. gahh!

its a pitty we dont have crazy shirts here in canada.

  • hahaha.

they really are such fun t shirts. they should sell them everywhere.

  • i noticed the look of worry on your face when you mentioned you would have to go to a korean post office... i feel you on this one.

i'm a foreigner living in hadong, and the post office is definitely not the highlight of my month.

  • hahaha. oh, yes...

    the post office.

how long have you been in hadong? do you like it?

    i'm in daegu.

  • I'm going to Spain in about a month...maybe I'll find something awesome from there I could send you!

  • that would be exciting!

  • what do i have to send you to get some obama socks?

  • whatever you think i might like...

i'm really not picky. hah. i just like getting packages.

  • DUDE YOU're Totally awesome! :D I'm going to look for something to send to you. :D I really want that shirt. :D btw, I'm a L. :D

  • haha. it is a wonderful shirt!

    yay! i love packages.

  • high flying the big hand was brilliant, soul korea looks beautiful.

  • it is way pretty. i really do like it over here most of the time.

  • I went to electric kindergarten, not very good memories ;)

  • i'm surprised that you can remember it at all...

  • Your videos are amazing!!! I love this!

    hahahaha. So fantastic.

My favourite was the high five. Love it. Haha.

I'll hopefully be around on the 19th!

I might end up making a video in the dark. lol.

  • video in the dark! do it!

    hahaha.

the high five was pretty intense.

  • Oh gosh, So cool!!! I'm in Tokyo right now, but I'm not teaching anything to anyone, actually I'm being taught Japanese :) Did you learn some Korean? their alphabet looks awesome!

P.S.: aren't you afraid of giving out your address?

  • i know how to read most of it...

and how to say the basic stuff like hello, goodbye, thankyou, subway. important stuff. hah.

don't really. it is just the mailing address of the school i work at. plus, i'm in south korea...if a stalker comes all the way over here to find me, i'll be more impressed than creeped out. haha.

  • haha, I remember the blogtv show where you talked about make friends with a mailbox day.

  • haha. it was quite fun.

  • I've wanted to go to south korea after I started watching this soap opera (boys before flowers). I've been thinking about joining an esl teaching program, but I'm more attracted to the "traveling and making money" part than to the actual "teaching" part...

Can I just be akward acquaintance (and maybe random facebook friends) with a mailbox instead? I'm not ready for such a huge mailbox commitment

  • haha. at least the teaching isn't hard (depending on where you teach). my job is super easy...if a little monotonous, and i totally have time to travel around a lot. it is a pretty sweet deal.

oh, yes. there is room for all levels of mailbox commitment on make friends with a mailbox day.

  • hehe :) you should high 5 the one in the water too!!

Oooh ooh oooh! i want to send stuff !! :D though i don't think i can send you belgian chocolats cause they would prbly melt en go bad before they arrived :(

  • i totally would have if it wasn't cold and rocky. also, i think it was too high out of the water for me to reach. hahah.

hmmm...true. belgian chocolates would probably melt...but i would lovelovelove something from belgium! i've never gotten a package from there before. haha. i'd totally send you some crazy awsome korean stuff back.

  • A. I am totally going to make best friends with a mailbox. B. I have no idea what I'd want from South Korea, nor what you would want from America, because most of the things that you and I seem to latch on to in discussions are imaginary. I mean, I guess it would definitely be easiest to send an imaginary package to you; it would get there very fast and cheap. And then mine would return very quickly as well.

  • A. yes! all the cool kids are doing it.

    B. i am all for imaginary packages. hah.

  • I will totally send you things, as soon as I think of something awesome to send you. BTW, where should I send it?

  • fantastic!

there is a link to my mailing address in the sidebar.

  • Opps. One of the only times I forget to read the sidebar and there's something significant in it. Sorry!

  • hahaha. it always happens that way!

    no problem, friend.

  • One of my best friends has been in Viet Nam for most of the summer (she's coming home Wednesday) and in the few times I've talked to her, she's mentioned that people stare at her and want to take pictures with her because her appearance is so different, and she says it's weird because you kind of feel like a celebrity lol

I'm totally going spend my day tomorrow thinking of things to send you : D

  • haha. it is kind of fun when they aren't jerks about it.

    yes! i love packages!

  • Make friends with a mailbox? Can it be a strangers mailbox?

Mail is always fun : ) South Korea has a lot of awesome things in it. Why dont we have giant hand statues to high five?

  • any mailbox will do!

all mailboxes need some friend love.

  • That hand is cool! South Korea looks great, even if a little odd...

And thanks for reminding me about make friends with a mailbox day! I totally forgot which day it is! it's the day school starts so I can just film it after school =D

  • haha. great and a little odd. just the way i like things...

yes! also, my august 19th will be before your august 19th...

so my video will be a good reminder. hah.

  • Ugh! I used to do the same thing in Japan with the green all the time!

"Oh! MINT! Mint!! Wait... oh no, it says tea on it" *Claire is sadface*

  • it is so disheartening.

i'm glad you know my pain. hah.

  • Hurray for enjoying your sojourn! <3

  • true story.

it would suck to have to be somewhere you hated for a year.

    i miss your face!

  • South Korea is definitely gorgeous! Now I really want to go there someday!

And those are definitely the best socks I have ever seen.

  • the cities are kind of dirty, but the country is so pretty!

i'm really lucky. i live right in front of a mountain.

  • Ooh, a mountain! Sounds fantastic. =-)

  • Yay, I might send you something if I get a good idea of what to send :)

  • haha.

it is always hard to think of what to put in a package.

  • Okay, so I'm totally gonna try to send you stuff from Brazil. The problem is i don't live in a cool place like Rio de Janeiro, I live in like the middle of Brazil, so I'll have to think about what to send you for a bit...

It's sooo cool that you're in South Korea, I've wanted to go for ages! I've a million questiosns, but maybe I should write you a letter instead of a humungous youtube comment! XD

    Anyway, your videos are adorable!

    :)

  • hooray! i've never gotten a package from brazil before. it would be fun.

it is a great place. feel free to ask questions via email/message/letter. any are accepted. hah.

  • Will do!

    :)

  • What kind of things should people be sending you? Like posters and stuff to put on your walls?

Question: you're in Korea for school, right? What are you studying?

  • posters and stuff for my walls would be wonderful!

i'm teaching english to kids! it is pretty fun.

  • haha. It's good to know you are accomplishing things while there... like trying new foods or high five-ing statues of hands. =D

I am totally gonna send you something. I just need to FIND something to send to you.... hmmm... I'll figure it out and let you know it's coming to you.

    -Sara

    or

    2. Life here in South Korea has been pretty f-bombed.

I'm guessing you said "fun" but it still made me laugh loudly.

  • hahaha.

i started talking about something i cut out right after i said fun...

    so it edited weird. hah.
