H.Bogart (later) about his role in this film: "There were only ten pages of dialogue for me, but I sat behind that tommy gun. That is different from from holding a gun up or firing from the hip in a Western. Nobody could take his eyes off Duke because they were never sure when he was going to shoot the place up with one powerful burst".
