Good design, look at the aspect ratio of the Buff's wing, it has to fly in a down nose atitude, if flown level it would climb!The "Bear" is a fave of mine too, but with a grain of salt because its not ours! LOL And for a huge turboprop bomber, its mighty fast!

We need to take some of the G's out of Davis-Monthan and refit them to "H" or better standards. it would save a ton of taxpayer money and replace some of the "H's" that have been lost as well as the B-1B's..

These are potent especially with the new ECM's they carry.

To me, the B-52 is a lady, and while she won't win any beauty contest, she's built solid, graceful in the air, and lethal when she's armed.

The B-52 was a common site in the skies over Merced CA for many years beginning with the B-52B model in the mid 1950's until Castle AFB closed in 1995. I sure do miss the old "BUFF" (Big Ugly Fat Fellow)

Imagine that you are an enemy North Vietnamese Army Soldier on the ground at Khe Sahn, Vietnam. B-52s were always coming in for Arc Light Raids. AWESOME!
