Do you have the full fight between Julie Robinson and Jim's girlfriend? I remember them having a huge row with each other before the "you bitch!" remark.
It is safe to say that the years 1991-93, starting with Harold's disappearance and culminating in Jim's death, were the most morbid and gloomy in Neighbours' history.
lol i remember this from 1994 when they showed it here in england, i was only 7 at the time. i think only paul and lou from these series are in the present episodes
This is the first time I've seen Jim's tribute credits. The Magic Moments DVD doesn't have it - even though it does for Helen and Madge's deaths from years later - ad even PerfectBlend doesn't have it. So thanks for that. Had Harold been killed off with his cancer and heart attack in 2008 (Karl resuscitated him against his will), it would have been Jim and Madge's deaths rolled into one, and he would have had to get the tribute credits too.
@najbritcol The reason it doesn't have the tribute credits on the DVD is because they didnt actually show them at the end of the episode on the DVD, or the end of the episode featured in this upload - it has been edited by the poster. The tribute credits were shown in the episode following, when it was confirmed Jim was dead by the doctors and taken away.
I loved Alan Dale's Widmore character in Lost. I thought as well as Desmond, he was central to the show and was surrounded in mystery only to have these exciting mysteries revealed at the end. Then I find out he is no longer needed in the story and goes out the same way he has done in most of his roles, death by lameness.
Poor Alan, I will forever remember him in his Jim Robinson Neighbour's death scene, another lame way to go out of a show after he was so pivotal in it...
Id say Jim Robinson should be re incarnated and brough to life again like den watts in eastenders...im sure our writers would find a way...like Jim faked his death all planned by fiona hartman blah blah!
is it just me or does fiona sound like miss piggy from the muppets when she is giving jim 'cpr'? if i recall from the time im sure rosemary was the one that walked in later to find him and it was cringeworthy!!
@cheekygirl1972 I agree! It's ridiculous! What a sad thing for such a role "Jim Robinson" had had for years to "die" with such a bad actress co-ing the scene... Grrr
Try sunray83b's suggestion - it's impossible not to laugh. I didn't even know Peter Springfellow was in Neighbours. And I thought the sound quality of the end credits was a fitting tribute.
RIP Jim. I remember watching this when i was a kid. The morning before it was aired, the actor who played him was speaking to Gaby Roslin via telephone live on the Big breakfast on channel 4 talking about it.
Funnily, I don't recall him in CSI - though I haven't seen EVERY episode - but this makes me wonder if I'm the only person who watches NCIS which he was in for a while. And DIDN'T die from a heart attack. :)
That is so true!, I have seen all three of these heart attacks!, interestingly in 2 instances neighbours and the oc there was a person present who did nothing to help him, I,m just waiting for his lost character to have a heart attack too!!!
Yes because the crew were trying to con the cast out of more money they would be entitled to earn. The show shouldve stopped years ago. Never gonig to get same success but hey ho. Gday Jim Robinson!
What? It was nothing to do with the crew! We didn't do anything wrong thank you! Alan has said on record that it was management that he was unhappy with. He signed a standard ATTRA contract as all performers in Australian serial dramas do, and wasn't happy with some of the terms, which is understandable, as the actor's union in Australia isn't as powerful as their counterparts in other countries. This in turn means that Australian actors can get something of a raw deal.
@BrisbaneBoy86 - Bullshit! Alan dale told people in an interview that the crew tried to hide the fact Neighbours was so popular in the UK due to having to possibly pay the actors a better wage!

Maybe Jim was a living ledgend and i totally agree but behind the scene Jim played by Alan Dale had trouble with the crew of Neighbours as he hated it so much he was also given an invitation to return to neighbours for the 20th Annivesery well nto on screen but off screen but he ignored it.I MISS HIM :(
the actual death of jim and him walking through the kitchen is my most vivid memory of tv as a kid(bout 4 yrs old) brings back nostalgic memories for me!
lol Helen Daniels is about to have another stroke. She was like the bionic woman. She cert. went thru the mill. Bout 5 strokes. Fell down the stairs bout 3 times and was mugged a few tmes as well!!!!
Omigosh. This was hilarious. Was that a heart attack or was he choking on a chicken bone? And geez, lady, don't just stand there looking like Macauley Culkin in Home Alone, call an ambulance already.
Lol... The acting on 'Neighbours' back then was appalling!!!! The only good part about this was the end theme with the piano - no offence to anyone who likes this video.
Don´t agree with all you are saying. Yes, there was some bad acting (especially by guest stars), but there were good actors too.
