@frekapk And Malta did the same thing for Libya...My stepdad a long with a hell of a lot of Maltese workers in the 70s and 80s went to Libya to build houses and roads etc. Anyway, its just human nature for a person to feel strongly against an 'outsider' coming into their territory, people forget this. It might not be right and as civilised, evolved people we should work on it but our basic instincts will never go away :I

Were Maltease and yes people do speak English.
Fun fact , Malta was once part of the British Empire or Colony and has since then learned and spoken English.
We also have our own language that being Maltease, Malta is in the med and is a nice warm island.
