  • Well that was not what I was expecting. It was somewhat depressing and not the normally uplifting Sons of Maxwell I am used to. Still, it is a part of life and that is what balladeers sing about.

  • This is a great song and video. Where did you film this?

  • @CanadaIndieFilm although it looks like St john's downtown, the guys are living in Halifax and so is curve productions who does their videos, so I am betting it must be Halifax. Note the brightly coloured houses, which are so because the boats took priority for painting and some the houses got the left over paint.

  • Thank you for posting! Your vocals are amazing, and the black and white effects really make the video interesting.

  • Nice tune. Like the United one best. You have a great country voice. :)

  • second comment!

  • NICE! Lyrics on ur songs would be awsomeness

  • I'm loving you guys more and more with every song I hear!

  • Lyrics would be awsomeneess!

  • Ba la la la la bamba....

  • Such a catchy melody, albeit a rather depressing subject. But it's so true.

  • Great song and video!

  • these guys need more exposure. I hope Dave becomes known for great-worded songs like this rather than United Breaks Guitars. While UBG is an awesome song, I just don't want to see an awesome songwriter becoming known for more than just that song.

  • I'm really starting to like these guys. What is it with Canadians being such great musicians? (Arrogant Worms, Barenaked Ladies, Nickelback etc)

  • I love this song so much, can't stop playing it :)

  • Kind of looks like Saint John, NB

  • hey ive been listening to you guys for atleast 10 years now parents took me to my first concert at the halifax waterfront and it was you guys. you rock

  • great tune, nice rhythm, very danceable. nice one lads.

  • second comment ,hope so.

  • I went looking for song two in the United saga and just started letting one Sons of Maxwell song after another play. They are so infectious and charming. The guys are adorable, know how to tell a story, and just plain sound good.

  • Has anyone else noticed the "West Side Story" quality to this video?

  • Cool =)

  • This song is really good and the lyrics are great.

  • Love your music and videos! When are you coming toUK??

  • Man, can you guys WRITE the songs!

Everybody says, "What is the world coming to? Your guitar isn't even safe on a plane anymore..."

  • This music has a good message i wish i can get the exact lyrics!

  • Great song - where can I buy?

  • Good song, and awesome job on the video!

  • Thanks United for broken guitars! Sonsofmaxwell you ROCK!

  • Love the red Mustang convertible! Nice song too.

  • Cool tune! Sweet Vid. Where were the indoor shots filmed? Reminded me of the Matador in Toronto. Loved that place.

  • I really love this song, it's amazingly upbeat and still talks about a depressing sort of "what is the world coming to" subject. It's just great, I heard it while driving, on an old mix tape and I had to find out what it was.

  • I love this song. fuck there so amazing ! ,

  • where is the lighthouse? :-) greetings from Regensburg
