@TheRobertbonner89 glad someobody set that idiot straight. Don't you just love it when clueless people who know nothing try to explain something to someone else?
Brandon Lee and his father were great action stars. It’s a shame what happened to both of them but at least they left behind a legacy of great action films. I just saw a great doc with lots of scenes from the best Bruce Lee films and other Kung Fu movies called “Films of Fury”. It was really worth the wait for it to come out on demand! bitly .com/uBGPir
lol I'm here now because I read this is a thread an wanted to see for myself but if you watch the scene carefully it's a female mannequin and as the camera focuses on the guy shooting then switches back you'll see it's the same mannequin but with the head shot to shit from the missed shot toward Brandons character that's why it appears like that, good attention to detail on behalf of the film makers if you ask me. Nothing suspicious or eerie about it at all .
@TheBipolarGemini Dude that was so scary at the beginning!!! haha but i think it was just a mistake in the film, i think it was not supossed to be there
no, it was The Crow. It was a prop shotgun shell. They removed the buckshot, but forgot the capsule, which still was able to penetrate him through the spine.
wow this movie looks badass why havent i seen it in the 90s. i thuaght i saw all great movies like braveheart, titanic, terminator 1, 2, 3(sucked). wtf...how did i miss this one? :o
I love how he slides and kicks that table... I remember that asshole said "Gimmie your hand" Powers Booth just snikers and says FUCK YOU... Awesome movie...
loved this movie, and such a shame to lose brandon lee. he was the first at using common items in the area during his fight scenes. not done again until jackie chan started doing those goofy movies. brandon would have had a stellar action movie career had he lived!
@ponata3 You're wrong man...Jackie been around before Brandon was even born. If you didn't know he was even a stunt man in Bruce's movies. Chinese connection, & also in Enter the Dragon. He was the one who started using props in his films, & doing outtakes during credits! Get your facts straight kid...
I loved the scene where Lee and Al Leong fight it out, with Lee eventually coming out on top. I love the way Chinky Chongs move. No white man can move that fast.
Good movie. Brandon did some excellent acting. I especially like the scene where he and the cop knocked on Frank's door. frank opened the door. Brandon says."Hello Frank." Then kicked him in the face. LOL
Aw yeah! I remember that part! I started laughing when you mentioned that, cause Brandon just busted in there like he was LAPD and handed that crooked fed his ass.
Then Ryan said, "Jake! Why don't you take those fists of fury of yours outside? You're making the poor man nervous."
They just don't make fight scenes the same anymore. Most of the fight scenes now are shot too close and speed up in edited process so you really don't see the fluent motion of the martial artist or actor.
It is called a "kip up". I have just learned how to do it and it is really cool and fun to do. If you are looking for a little bit of advice on where to start search for kip up videos, I'm sure you will find some.
This movie always, always, ALWAYS depresses me as much as it thrills. Just in this alone you can see from his acting, his mildy-realistic-but fluid-as-all-fuck choreography, how athletic and physically talented he was; just what a great thing we lost. Had he but lived, Brandon would have done his dead dad proud: taken some of Bruce Lee's style, some mauy thai and wing chun, far better choreography, and turn it into his own unique thing.
This is very realistic, you can do these moves in a real fight, especially the low kick to lead jab which was the first move he did after the rear kick to the staircase.I dont know about the far better choreography,Bruce set the standard,he was the best, but Brandon put some moves on screen that Bruce knew, but his father just didnt put onscreen,so because of that Brandon could have been better.Bruce had all of these moves in his arsenal, well there is muay-thai and wing chun in Bruce's style also
You're right on everything else,I feel the same way, I love the movie, but then its sad that Brandon is no longer with us,everytime I look at the Rapid Fire dvd cover I say to myself"why did they kill this man",this film is bitter sweet to me.Yeah you're right, I thought the same thing,16 years have passed,do you know how many movies Brandon could've starred in,I count at least 10 or 12great films that we missed out on,we could've had 10 or 12 more classics with jeet kune do
This is jeet kune do,Brandon does the muay-Thai rear kick, reversed side kick from taekwondo, and a muay-thai elbow, and front kick to jab, this is jeet kune do

Brandon lee is better than Bruce! Just look at his agility... his hand to feet to eye co-ordination. Unbeatable.
