Hi,Goa'uld would be the least of your worries if your stargate was not calibrated correctly.Imagine a spacial shift and watching the planet split in half and be deposited ten million light years away.The correct sequence of calibrating a stargate would be a bougier anomalaly rotating disk surrounding the earths sun and 3 trig points lying in linear order at known constant distances.A vdgps fix and a fixed gyroscopic electronically damped platform.The very least rough plot point.

This is an excellent Stargate you made. The details such as the spinning is a great touch, though some lights on it would be also good.

Now, your special effects are really good. I bet you're used to After Effects. The Stargate effect was good and stayed in place without any really noticeable mistakes. The disappearing effect is also amazing, now that was pretty sweet special effects.
