How you got 'inspiration' from old Hollywood for that is a mystery! You should take a look at Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Gene Tierney, Ava Gardner, etc.-they're old Hollywood! What you're doing is 'crimping' your hair, a style that was popular in late 80s/early 90s. Mentioning 'old Hollywood' implies curlers, etc. Really bugs me when people mislabel their uploads in an attempt to attract an audience. It's misleading, dishonest, and pathetic! Spout what you like, it's not 'old Hollywood!'

I would suggest pin curls or sponge rollers to get wave in your hair, that way you would get move volume in your hair. :)

I am very aware of what inspired means but I don't see the hairstyle being an inspriration from old hollywood glamour, it's very 80's and basic. mswendyyct: an inspiration is what an individual takes from a subject what inspired you may not inspire me.I was inspired by the article I held up in the video I did not say my look was old hollywood I said it inspired me which means I did it my way pulling from old hollywood which is correct, they used lots of waves as did I. It sounds like you may have been offended here, and if so, I'm sorry. I'm just going off of what I know. I did theater in school for years and have studied closely the fashions and trends of women in the 20's and 30's. And I understand what inspired means. I personally felt like you just ran the iron through parts of your hair and called it a day without styling it which made it more of a "how to crimp your hair" vid. I just wanted more hollywood glamour, that's all.

I'm not offended at all.I simply replied to your comment seeing as how I just recreated something from a magazine that was titled "old hollywood inspired looks" the article actually had the tipe of curl u mentioned .I actaully didn't just run it through my hair I took careful time since my hair is very short in the back.if it was a howto crimp i would have used a crimping iron I barrel waved it,but if you want more hollywood glam i can't help u mine was inspired by

not sure if this is old hollywood...yeah it's wavy but that doesnt make it old hollywood..if you wanted to make it more old hollywood, maybe you could use a curling iron to create bigger waves and maybe pin down your side-swept bangs and put a pomade or finishing cream on it to add shine

It most certainly is just look at Hollywood from the 20-30's.And this is "inspired" if you know what that means not an exact replica,the magazine I got it out of says "old hollwywood" and if u look at silent films/blk whites u see this type of curl.The finger wave like cusl is what makes it old hollywood.I'm well aware being as how I'm a professional actress.I like it and to each his own

im luvin the whole micheal jackson album thing. i have a crimp curler accept theres no plug. u need to buy a stove to use it or use a home stove. that one holds the curls really good, i saw u had to go back n crimp it agian

Not because of the barrel waver,the hairspray I used was crappy and not the kind I usually use as u can see by the fact that it is a diff brand from all the products in my vid,I can"t use the stove kind as it"s meant for a texture of hair that I don"t have so it would damage my hair.What works for me though dosn"t necessarily work for everyone is,thanks for watching!

No,there is a huge diff in the pattern a crimper makes which is more off a zigzag,like a lightning bolt.A waver which can be a tripple barrel waver or a double barrel gives you exactly what it say "waves" which are sodter and less blunt.
