I hate this epilogue. Why do all of the girls (even Sora and Yolei) get stereotypical feminine jobs? I never liked Yolei but making her a housewife did not fit with her character at all, I can't even believe that she changed enough to staying at home taking care of kids.
I think the writers just put jobs in a hat and drew them out for everyone, regardless of if they fit. Joe, Izzy, Kari, and Cody were the only ones who had believable jobs for who they were.
I pretend that this epilogue never had existed in the first place. I think open endings are better than what the writers of this last episode ever come up with.
Good thing that Toei considered this season the least favourite among the Digimon franchise, a few years later.

In the Manga, Davis is the one doing the final Narration. He states that Matt and Sora are married. He doesn't say anything about T.k and Kari getting married, he mentioned T.k as a novelist, and that Kari did marry and that it wasn't to him, but got over it. Kinda.
@dragonballz462 You know, lots of people who care for each other at age 11 don't get married. Even lots of people who love each other at age 18 or 21 don't get married. Who knows what's happened in the 20+ years since we last saw these characters?

Perfect ending, every1 had a great job. I was worried that they had the same ending of Digimon Tamers and they lost the digimons. But they all kept and lived them and that alone makes this ending perfect.

Sora may not have shown much interest in pretty clothes in season 1, but by season 2 we see her learning the art of flower arranging under her mother= eye for design. Miyako likely realized that she <3'd being around her family and that raising them was the most important thing 2 her.

My favorite remake of the cartoon disney channel was Jetix with WITCH. and digimon , i even use to watch Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go. Then they remade it alright but not as good as Jetix and most of it was marvel or dc which me and my dad liked, now it's so weird and the only thing i watch on that channel is the The Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The dub has changed many things before, and they didn't mention the couples so people could imagine their own couples, so in the dub, maybe Sora and Tai got married? The premise isn't a bad one: everyone knows about the Digital World, and digimon partners are common. However, the pairings of the CC with future careers looks random. It took him 25 years to get around to writing about their youthful adventures???? That pretty much ruins it.

Kari is the teacher in Digimon Tamers, joe's son is also in that universe, especially after he found that pink angel that looks like Joe's digimon. I think that the creators of the third season slightly wanted their involvement without anyone noticing, who knows....

Actually, they kind of screw up at the end when they didn't mention Matt and Sora getting married. They did get married, but not divorced. From what I remember the producer (I think it was the producer) for Digimon English hated the fact that Tai wasn't with Sora and that she was with Matt. So yeah lol.

It was nice that they showed everyone all grown up with their children but I'm still COMPLETELY disappointed that Tai and Sora didn't end up together. The writers totally missed the mark on that one

It was gay how they all got straight gigs and forgot the digiworld like whatever. Just like real life when people graduate or get a little $ suddenly they act like they werent fighting monsters a week before.
The only thing that I can say was disappointing was that season 3 was not a continuation of season 2. I thought that they should have had the kids at the end of season 2 be the new digidestined. They could have taken it into a darker turn, by starting a Digimon war on Earth with the antagonists using Digimon instead of conventional weapons. It could have been possible since evil forces did not go away at the end of season 2. Instead season 3 gave us annoying, unlikable characters.
It seems like not a lot of people here like the ending. I however, really like the ending and think it's cool. For those of you who are still mad about the relationships, just look at it from another perspective. Signs may have pointed to certain digidestines becoming married in the future, but they were all still kids. Joe I think was 15 in season 2, being the oldest. Time changes people. We develop new ideologies, beliefs, interests and some mature faster than others.
Kari should've been the next empress of Japan! Sora yeah I agree with you. Mimi is just out of mind wrong. Yolei, yes now the creators of Digimon must die! Tai should've been the leader of the UN! Matt, an astronaut? Hello loco? You can't just become an astronaut automatically! Izzy has a good job, although I'd think he'd invent the next nuclear bomb. Cody, eh.... Ken what? Hitler rants that he's not evil, but a good guy now?!!?!?! T.K. is nothing related to what he is.
The only thing I dont like about teh endign is how much so many of the kids are like...just carbon copies of their parents O_o I mena i know kids look like their parets but come on, none of digidestined really looked like their parents... why cant their kids be more unique or something...

@nocturned85 The main problem is, people don't want their childhood heroes to be paired up with OCs. They had high hopes their pairings would come true, and they were let down. As you can also see below, people are upset about the careers that were chosen for each of the characters.
They should have never done the "25 years into the future" ending and should have kept it with the world saved and the Digidestined able to travel to the Digital World anytime they like with their Digimon.

@nocturned85 Yes, but a show isn't life. The Laws of Physics almost never apply, the protagonist is seemingly given protection from above, and the world seems to be always on a orbit by itself.
I don't really care at all about the pairings, but as I said before, I didn't want them to be paried with people that have zero screen time.
Also, I really doubt they grew apart from each other. Why would they all be together in the end then?

@AqworldsWiki because careers get in the way sometimes that's how people can be apart that's what 25 years can do to you, things change. as for life, this show does something different and people don't like it i get it. for the ending, i agree 100 percent that it should leave an ending where it will look like the adventure can continue... almost like a cliffhanger but doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth. for this its a happy ending and we all know those are cliche.
Kari's kids digimon shouldn't be salamon it should be Nyaromon :P the only reason karis partener stays at champion is becuase she evolved naturally but her kids digimon shouldn't be rookie when the rest are in-training :P Plus i hate the fact that veeryone gets their own partner digimon :/ far enough if everyone knows about it but they shouldn't all have parteners...
Not a whole lot of Matt/Sora love on these comments. It always thought there relationship started in season 01 when Matt helped Sora out of that cave of misery it showed how much they had in common.

The premise isn't a bad one: everyone knows about the Digital World, and digimon partners are common. However, the pairings of the CC with future careers looks random. It took him 25 years to get around to writing about their youthful adventures???? That pretty much ruins it.

Kari is the teacher in Digimon Tamers, joe's son is also in that universe, especially after he found that pink angel that looks like Joe's digimon. I think that the creators of the third season slightly wanted their involvement without anyone noticing, who knows....

Actually, they kind of screw up at the end when they didn't mention Matt and Sora getting married. They did get married, but not divorced. From what I remember the producer (I think it was the producer) for Digimon English hated the fact that Tai wasn't with Sora and that she was with Matt. So yeah lol.

T.k is an novelist and surprise twist that he ends up narrating toward the end.

The only thing that I can say was disappointing was that season 3 was not a continuation of season 2. I thought that they should have had the kids at the end of season 2 be the new digidestined. They could have taken it into a darker turn, by starting a Digimon war on Earth with the antagonists using Digimon instead of conventional weapons. It could have been possible since evil forces did not go away at the end of season 2. Instead season 3 gave us annoying, unlikable characters.

It seems like not a lot of people here like the ending. I however, really like the ending and think it's cool. For those of you who are still mad about the relationships, just look at it from another perspective. Signs may have pointed to certain digidestines becoming married in the future, but they were all still kids. Joe I think was 15 in season 2, being the oldest. Time changes people. We develop new ideologies, beliefs, interests and some mature faster than others.

@nocturned85 The main problem is, people don't want their childhood heroes to be paired up with OCs. They had high hopes their pairings would come true, and they were let down. As you can also see below, people are upset about the careers that were chosen for each of the characters.
They should have never done the "25 years into the future" ending and should have kept it with the world saved and the Digidestined able to travel to the Digital World anytime they like with their Digimon.

@AqworldsWiki that's life for you because seriously if you're in this for the pairings then yeah you've been let down big time and pretty much proves why you shouldn't be in for any anime in peculiar. and for the careers yeah kinda lame for a few of them, but 25 years can change a persons interest and some people just grow apart. for the ending, a lot of other good things had crappy endings. i for one didn't care for the ending, atleast it got an ending unlike other anime i know.

@nocturned85 Yes, but a show isn't life. The Laws of Physics almost never apply, the protagonist is seemingly given protection from above, and the world seems to be always on a orbit by itself.
I don't really care at all about the pairings, but as I said before, I didn't want them to be paried with people that have zero screen time.
Also, I really doubt they grew apart from each other. Why would they all be together in the end then?
It would have been a better ending to leave us guessing.

@AqworldsWiki because careers get in the way sometimes that's how people can be apart that's what 25 years can do to you, things change. as for life, this show does something different and people don't like it i get it. for the ending, i agree 100 percent that it should leave an ending where it will look like the adventure can continue... almost like a cliffhanger but doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth. for this its a happy ending and we all know those are cliche.

Kari's kids digimon shouldn't be salamon it should be Nyaromon :P the only reason karis partener stays at champion is becuase she evolved naturally but her kids digimon shouldn't be rookie when the rest are in-training :P Plus i hate the fact that veeryone gets their own partner digimon :/ far enough if everyone knows about it but they shouldn't all have parteners...
