have to disagree, if you're saying herb's system wasn't effective.. think about this: only 1 losing season.. 5 straight NCAA tourney appearances.3 acc championship appearances.. part recruiting, part was the system.he's doing great at arizona state as well.. only 2 conference losses.. 21-5 i believe
Herb Sendek was the third worst eight-year coach in the history of the ACC, and the second-worst 10-year coach. He loaded up on cupcakes like John Bunting to get those inflated overall W-L records. When did Herb ever field a team anyone thought could actually WIN the NCAAs? 8-38 vs Carolina and Dook, and four of the eight against Doherty's disaster at UNC-CH. How did Herb do in the Pac10 championship game last year? Another big gag job. Herb Sendek is mediocrity personified.
i feel you, and you're right.. i watched that game last year and felt horrible for him.. the man could never get it done..still can't as far as him just being a total f up.. i can't agree with that.. but yes he was so mediocre when it came to tournaments.
however we're not doing much better with sid.. i am willing to give him a couple more years.. but somethings gotta give with this team.. we haven't been truly relevant since the 80's. god bless you jimmy v.

I hardly remember this game....CC Harrison and Justin Gainey I believe, Archie Miller and Anthony Grundy(Grundy was my favorite state player...)
