  • i have UVI's "retro keyboards" and "retro organs".

watching this movie, i feel resembles UVIsound and MOTU's this software.

in fact, UVI and MOTU that two sound-engine is same??

  • @flareflare00 yes, uvi makes the engine for motu, so they have a very similar sound for sure, I love the UVI/Motu sound personally

  • @didierarnoult Not true, I use windows, I have no problems at all.

  • What would you suggest me. This or Scarbee?

  • @hardminder I prefer the motu ep or the new ep in machfive 3, or even the classic ep from uvi, over the scarbee personally. Also checkout the neo soul rhodes, it's pretty good too.

  • Nice job on this review.

  • @goofparade thanks, I like their keys.

  • You should check out what the black keys do too .... that's the best sound of all ....

  • nice

  • @leparditas thanks for watching

  • @leparditas

THIS IS THE MOST TERRYFIC SOUND I NEVER EAR BEFORE!!! JEJE

  • Sounds nice & clean :)

  • @prasiatenko I love em.

  • @SoundsAndGear... Thanks for the reply! That's a monsta system bruh. 12gb RAM...whoa!

  • @jlsmarts no doubt fam, thanks for watching

  • Question: For the demo video, what is the host computer? Mac? Windows PC? I know that MOTU's software is compatible with both but I noticed that the navigation of the software within the video was pretty smooth with no latency(lag). If you could post the computer's processing speed, that would be very helpful!

  • @jlsmarts running a pc 64 bit windows 7 with a core i7 processor (2.6ghz) and 12gb ram.

  • Hey "SoundsAndGear" - I'd like to get your opinion on something. I'm debating whether to drop the almost $300 they're asking for this, I already have Komplete 7, and I think the ScarBee Rhodes is by far best I've heard or played so far (I absolutely detest NI's "Elektrik Piano", it's horrible).

I'm actually a trained jazz pianist, I would not only produce tracks with it, but also play -live-. I'm interested in this because it also has the Yamaha CP-80 Electric Grand which is quite rare.

  • @samsamba08 I think scarbee has a great sound, I personally use Electric Keys more in my music, I , I think alot of people miss out on the MOTU stuff. I use this more than scarbee and pianoteq. Also, bought some stuff from UVI, the company that makes alot of stuff for MOTU, they have some cheaper products that sound great and run in the free uvi workstation. Example they have a classic ep that is only 39 bucks I bought after BPM, so check them out as well. I don't like NI eletrik keys either.

  • @SoundsAndGear would you say that this is a better product than native instruments elektrik piano ?

  • @OfficialTechnician yes in my opinion it's much better

  • @SoundsAndGear have you used both then?

  • Beautiful

  • @weaponEX thanks for watching yo!

  • @SoundsAndGear It's facinating - so many esoteric instruments. I'm a Nord Electro 3 owner but this collection looks far more interesting

  • @weaponEX the library is deep, very diverse, that's why I like it.

  • @SoundsAndGear I just paid for my pre-order upgrade to Komplete 7. I thought that would be that last electric pianos and organs I'd ever need - but there are so many weird, obscure instruments in MOTU that I've never heard of, I'm going to buy this as well.

    Thanks for the video!

  • @weaponEX I hear you man! It's never ending lol.

  • I actually like the organs. I like the one you played @ 1:49. Do you think you might know of a patch right off of kontakt's factory library that sounds like that one @ 1:49

  • @pppeeeppee I don't I'd have to go through Kontakt library and look. I mostly use third party libraries in Kontakt, not the factory library that much.

  • sample tank and tron r dope, i like the uvi engine better then kontakt for speed of loading the instruments.

this sounds good and live the visuals

  • @eyeseafree yes, uvi loads sounds pretty fast, however the background loading in kontakt makes things pretty quick now as well. It's all good.

  • Dope. Has Some Nice Sounds

    Swing THru People

    Check Some Beats

    Peace

  • @illcutprotv thanks for checkin it yo

  • this joint is 40 gb of material...

    my god......lol

  • @dopemcee hahahahaha!

  • meh, not the greatest sounds imho, 279.00 vs Ik multimedia workstation 5 virtual instruments plus a fee LPK 25 for 199.00. I own bpm as well but not worth the price. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @teacee all good we all have our own opinions :) I don't look strictly at price. I have IK stuff too, good stuff for sure, I like SampleTron and SampleMoog the best, sonic synth and sample tank are old and due for an update. Philharmonik is good too! Looking forward to the next version of SampleTank as the current one is just out of date in my opinion. Remember their price if it wasn't a group buy ;)

  • @SoundsAndGear 4sho, I's definitely about the quality, but who doesn't love a bargain, yeah it's all good, to each his own, one.

  • @teacee I feel ya man lol, it's all good, I just got over going after bargins just because, I got in on the last group buy and...I haven't even installed that stuff on my new daw, had it on the laptop but left me uninspired lol.

  • @teacee bro i said the same thing sample tank sounds are just way better for the price and if you get the Sample tank Xs which comes with a gig of sounds forn 6o$ bucks and it's the whole sample tank 2 man.....thats a deal

  • @goongod There are a ton of virtual instruments out there, I like variety, Native Instruments Komplete I use quite often, already pre-ordered Komplete 7, which is 90gb and sound much better. Sampletank is very slow loading, but is very useful, but pretty much all virtual instruments have their pros and con. It's all about what the user likes and is best for them.

  • @teacee NI is dope, I'm a huge Kontakt user myself, scarbee is still my favorite EP dedicated library, this one or pianoteq would be next. The factory EP's in Kontakt are okay, but then again, I was never a fan of Electrik Piano so lol...like you said, it's enough choices and thats a good thing. Sound is very much based on opinion and what you like, sometimes you share opinions sometimes you don't, it's all good, long as you can enjoy making music that's all that matters :)

  • @SoundsAndGear No doubt I am installing Komplete 7 as I write this comment lol, came in a week early, over 5 hours installing and still have 3 DVD's to go.

  • @teacee nice!! lol, yes that's a HUUUUUUUUUUGE install, plus they added all them new instruments man, crazy!

  • @goongod I hear ya man lol, like I said it's preference, I have sampletank, none of the keys in there in my opinion can get with this, or scarbee, or pianoteq, they just can't. I would imagine the next version of sampletank will be an improvement. I also have all the expansion instruments, again, just my opinion, but motu, uvi, and various kontakt libraries blow sampletank sounds out of the water.

  • @SoundsAndGear I know you told me you don;t mess with Pro Tools but check out Velvet a top contender as well its a RTAS made by Avid.

  • @teacee lol...man I'm not buying protools to checkout that EP lol..I've heard about it, but I have absolutely NO desire to mess with Pro Tools at all lol.

  • @SoundsAndGear I dodn't say buy pro tools, I said check it out, like here on youtube.

  • @teacee yeah lol, i've seen/heard videos, but if I'm gonna truly check it out, that means playing it. And there really is no point in my checking it out because I have no intentions of ever using pro tools :) That's all I'm saying. How much you got left to install over there! hahaha.

  • @SoundsAndGear Heh, I hear you, still have 2 more and 6 hours in, I feel sorry for those who are installing from scratch, I am sure by upgrading I save a couple of hours, lol

  • @teacee horrible lol...the things we go through!
