I have read the House version of the Bill, but most people who are standing up in support of the bill, admit that they have not. The chart that Rep Boehner has on his website that flow charts the House plan shows the creation of 31 new government agencies, thats an interesting way of Obama "shrinking government", and Obama lied when he said you could keep your current plan.
You can keep it in name but the Dems mandate that your plan conform to the Government mandated rules for health care insurance and become "Qualified Health Benefits Plans" under the "Health Insurance Exchange" Kind of like you can have any color car you want....as long as its black.

The dichotomy between republican and democrat is an illusion. The US economy was shipwrecked and it's not going to get better. The improvements in the stockmarket is due to the massive investment of stimulus funds. But credit is still tight, banks are still failing, and businesses are still closing and downsizing. The US economic system is a failure that cannot be "fixed." The illusion is maintained for a time while the stimulus costs get redestributed to the American taxpayers.

I have read the House version of the Bill, but most people who are standing up in support of the bill, admit that they have not. The chart that Rep Boehner has on his website that flow charts the House plan shows the creation of 31 new government agencies, thats an interesting way of Obama "shrinking government", and Obama lied when he said you could keep your current plan.

I have read up on this issue. It's easy for those who didn't want to do anything for the economy except a tax cut for the wealthy, to sit here and say things are bad when we don't know how the economy would have been without the stimulus. The republicans are just playing politics, they talk against the stimulus bill but they are using the stimulus money to help their states just like everyone else. The problem is that they are not required to inform the people where they received the money.

If the 'real' issues threatening our country are not addressed then the fallout will be huge. Closing prisons and releasing American Citizens unlawfully imprisoned for unimportant crimes such as marijuana usage will reduce costs, free up real estate to auction and floor the market values to a degree, and reinstate personal freedom and personal responsibility. Our military has to be realigned to benefit the public which pays for it, with defense, not unlawful offense.

I really can't afford to pay $3,000+ extra a year in taxes in order to pay for obama's "cap and trade" bill when estimates I heard said it will have absolutely no impact on the environment. And they're saying it will reduce our econom by trillions of dollars and lose Americans millions of jobs to china and india. I also don't like the idea of giving free universal health care to illegal aliens when our own veterans need better health care. Obama is doing an absolutely horrible job in my opinion.
