People keep saying they dont make music like this anymore. Its true ,but what is it about this sound that we all want? Emotion. you listen to marvin gayes mercy me, sam cookes change is gona come, curtis mayfields kung fu, bob dylans knocking on heavens door even stevie wonders living for the city. These songs are powerful and authentic. They also speek of truth which is no longer tolerated in mainstream. My point being we need something real to fill our soul and genuine music is the only cure!

Haven't heard this cut in a good 25 years. The radio stations down south slept on this one. I had the pleasure of seeing Gene in concert opening for Chic back in the summer of 1980. He was a consummate showman and in great voice that night.
