I've even witnessed a handful of kids go off on stretchers. It needs to be abolished from house league, and shouldn't be implemented in rep until age 14 or so.

It appears he shoves with the stick, but a closer look shows he's just lost his balance and leans forward. 9 out of 10 times this would not be called a cross check. However checking is illegal at the squirt level thus it should be a penalty. Nevertheless at ten years old this is a great hit. Send a message, set the tone, I'll take the kid on my team.
