if youre talking about the part around 0:50 its probably: overdriven bass from the song, and the instrument playing the main riff might be a mellotron or something, and then you have drums.

@murrayno6 I'm inclined to agree with you somewhat. This remix is a little clumsy and loud... It seems to me that it's purpose is to make it possible to mix Kids with other tracks of this style ina set, rather than to produce a new take on the song.

I found that problem with pretty much every remix of La Roux's In For The Kill I've ever heard, with the single exception of the remix by Le Caste Vania - check it out if you like dirty electro.

This mix isn't bad, but it ciuld be a lot better.
