This is a great video, simple and to the point. Love it man! I guess I still mess up though, I tend to throw head kicks from a middle stance or when I backed up. Seeing you your body fall back when you do that made me realize how to clean up my kick more. Thank you, and awesome videos!
@ElliotWestcarrTv Criss cross exercises to open the hip will give enough flex to high kick. Do it with your knees, stretch you hamstrings then do it with the leg almost extended. So, your kind of making an inside to an outside crescent kick but gradually turning the supporting foot then hip to bring it to a round kick and hook kick. Hope this helps. Please contact me if you need a better explaination
@MERVILLE3 So kick across my body as high as I can? With my supporting foot slighty pointing outwards for more momentum and power? and keep doing it as high as I can? and stretch the hamstrings so it doesnt pull?
@ElliotWestcarrTv Yeah. Basically doing inside and outside crescent kicks at first but then pivoting on the supporting foot more and more to open the hip. Always do hamstring and loin stretches (front and side lunge stretches) before anything else
@juliosorammsteinfan Not everything needs to be powerfull. The purpose of the jab in this combo is to lock someone in their guard and obscure their view, not to do damage.
hey man i have a question, im good with low kicks, but high kicks really get me frustrated,i cant get the hight enough, how can i get my kicks, that high, ?
@RamsesFix flexibility and unlike wat this guy sed, ur actualy ment to lean bak a little, this also helps with balance and it does not make u lose power unless u do it wrong. u might need to adjust ur technique if u do this buh it is beta, coz if u lean bak wen u do a kick ur outa range from counterattacking punches unless ur opponent jumps in through the kick.
@ricosuavable - It works just need to set it up. Low kick a few times, make your opponent feel comfortable, then smash'em with a high kick. Or, left hook, to throw them off balance and then high kick. Works for me anyways.

Do you have to be able to do the splits to do high roundhouse kicks? or is there a way around this?

A right high kick against another orthodox fighter almost never works. Your better of using a switch kick to the face
