Reason I love the celicas, back in the late 90s (in my teens) I use to take out my friends stock 89 GTR Celica non turbo that came with TEIN suspension stock from factory. I use to rape WRXs, Skyline GTS-Ts, Subary Legacy RS and the hatch turbos. Ive done 220kms in the car with bald tyres in the wet and it still hugged the road like it was nobodies business. So....if the non turbo use to wreak havoc on the boy racers back then, the GT4s must be godlike. Looking at buying one this year.
Stock MR2 Turbo's smoke stock MKIV Supra TT's....and if you didn't know, an MR2 takes real skill, not gender to perform well in. My 94 GTFour beats my 94 MR2 by 1 second in the 1/4. Food for thought.
@Davejulio9 Because Supra is overpriced. A non turbocharged Supra goes for 15 grand and up. My Trans Am WS6 goes for 10 to 15 grand and its neck in neck with the twin turbo Supra stock vs stock. A Celica is much cheaper. I have a Celica I bought for 3 grand. I could buy a 3sgte for under 6 grand, and do some mods, and have an 11 or 12 second 4 cylinder for under 15 grand.

@Davejulio9 and you can easily tell that these aren't your regular chick car celicas from 94-99. these GT4's in the pictures are obviously wider than the regular ones. and the widebody ones didn't come with any other engine than the 3S-GTE <- T stands for turbo.

@Davejulio9 I am a supra enthusiast more than anything. but this is NOT a girl's car. Neither is an ae86 corolla, mr2 (mk1 at least isnt). A nice supra can run up to 50k, whereas a celica about 20k. Supra is the bet, but it was a celica for the first two generations.

Im stuck between '94 gt-4 and '94 gt, the 4wd plus turbo is obviously a massive appeal, BUT, the insurance is a fair bit higher on the turbo as im 22. Is the turbo and all wheel drive worth the extra in insurance and mechanical fees?

I love these GT4's only wished Toyota carried the GT4 onto the 7th generation Celica. I think that's probably why the 7th gen Celica did so poorly in sales it was only FWD, lack of TRD performance parts and was basically a chick car. Wanna trade a me a GT4 for a 7th gen LOL?

sorry to tell you the truth but, GT4s never made it to the US :(, but dont let your hopes down, you can get a celica st/gt with a blown engine and you can easily find the engine on the internet its a 3sgte go to 6gcDOTnet and they can help you get the engine and maybe give you instructions on how to swap it! or take it to a mechanic and you can have your GT4 for about 5,000!!
@TheRealDevil you can get a ST185 in America man. you can get the ST205 in America tho. you would have to spend a pretty penny converting the 5SFE FWD ST204 Celica into a 3SGTE AWD ST205.
Nah there's a guy around here where I live that's got one...sadly enough he riced it out like a douche. I offered to buy it off of him and make it into a real car but he said it already was......p.s. it's nearly bone stock and the only thing he did was put an ugly paint job and fart cannon on it.....that's something to sigh about lol

ive noticed some of these GT4s have "GT FOUR" written on there rear spoilers, does that mean something?, does that make them different from other GT4s in some way?
Hi Femzy. You won't gain alot of bhp, the exhaust system will mainly add more torque to your car and the air filter will add a very small amount of bhp but the car will run better. The more cold air you can get to the engine, the better it runs. Thats why alot of people choose to mount a Front Mounted Intercooler.
After my engine rebuild I am hoping for 310bhp with 320lb.ft
rednose is right about one thing...the celica was aimed at the young female drivers. but very wrong about the care itself. you put a good dri....hell even a moderately decent driver in the seat and that car is something.

I love these GT4's only wished Toyota carried the GT4 onto the 7th generation Celica. I think that's probably why the 7th gen Celica did so poorly in sales it was only FWD, lack of TRD performance parts and was basically a chick car. Wanna trade a me a GT4 for a 7th gen LOL?

sorry to tell you the truth but, GT4s never made it to the US :(, but dont let your hopes down, you can get a celica st/gt with a blown engine and you can easily find the engine on the internet its a 3sgte go to 6gcDOTnet and they can help you get the engine and maybe give you instructions on how to swap it! or take it to a mechanic and you can have your GT4 for about 5,000!!

You could just buy a Celica Alltrac, and do a motorswap. Those were for sale here in the U.S . They were 4wd with 4cyl turbos

Nah there's a guy around here where I live that's got one...sadly enough he riced it out like a douche. I offered to buy it off of him and make it into a real car but he said it already was......p.s. it's nearly bone stock and the only thing he did was put an ugly paint job and fart cannon on it.....that's something to sigh about lol

Hi Femzy. You won't gain alot of bhp, the exhaust system will mainly add more torque to your car and the air filter will add a very small amount of bhp but the car will run better. The more cold air you can get to the engine, the better it runs. Thats why alot of people choose to mount a Front Mounted Intercooler.
After my engine rebuild I am hoping for 310bhp with 320lb.ft

rednose is right about one thing...the celica was aimed at the young female drivers. but very wrong about the care itself. you put a good dri....hell even a moderately decent driver in the seat and that car is something.

the 6th gen celica are more for those with good taste. i own two of them a 94 st hb and a 96 limited edition. these run great last
