I thought so too. The tricky part is that a lot of the 'stupid moments' in Slayers are verbal, instead of visual.

Yeah. Must've been tricky. Most of the stupid moments end with Gourry getting hurt over comments on Lina's breasts or asking something else stupid, like that time when Almayce showed up the first time and Gourry's like "Overworld?" and Lina smacks him across the room. There was also the time where Gourry called Xellos and old man and he gets better with age...
