  • That's SO damn cool. I need to make one of those.

  • dang thats a lot of faces in a flat shape.. well theoretically flat

  • aprende a hacer trucos!

  • do u have a vid on how to make it?

  • how do u make tat

  • hey where did u get tht template or w/e i like tht one

  • how the fuck do you make a hexaflexagon i have 2 flexagons but no fucking hexaflexagons

  • We have a 3D paper model that's quite similar to a hexaflexagon in motion, but not in construction. We have a website that lets you put four of your own photos onto a kaleidocycle. Just go to the foldplay website and upload your photos. We'll slice, dice and stretch them onto a triangular grid. Print it out, score, cut, fold, and glue. We have a slideshow with complete directions. Presto! You have a personalized 3D paper sculpture. Find us at Foldplay. (Use teh google.) Best of all, it's free!

  • Thanks for the help!

    I'll work on that.

  • Sorry, I meant A3, and tabloid. A4 is a little small...

  • Do you just use glue to hold the certain parts together?

And what type of paper do you use?

Mine all end up being a sticky mushy mess....

  • Yes, glue together the sides without numbers on them (in the example). Use a paper that is at least A4 or Taboid to end up with a long enough strip. Paper can be 100-150g. It takes a little practise.

  • or u can cut a 1in X 18in paper

  • google it

  • yes! only one strip of paper for each hexaflexagon.

  • its only one piece of paper

  • im doing this in math class

  • that's interesting! Where is that and in what level of school?

  • a middle school in cupertino,California

  • Do you know how it was discovered?

In 1939, a British student had just arrived at Princeton University to study math. Since American sheets of paper are wider than European, he decided to trim the letter size sheets to fit his English A4 binder. He ended up with lots of strips of paper, and started to fold them in different ways. One night, he folded a flexagon by accident, and the next day he showed it to his friends. They were all amazed... Soon everyone was folding and flexing hexaflexagons!

  • thats so kool =DD

  • HOW DO YOU MAKE THAT?!?!?!

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT HOW DO YOU MAKE THAT?

  • nice thing... but it is not so interesting to look at a paper thing being "flexed away" for 1 minute and 18 seconds... but still the thing is cool ^^

  • that's so cool!!!

  • how do you fold it together?

  • MY MIND
