I read somewhere Thom couldn't take any of the 16 vacations he won-- anyone know why? Because of his military service??? and did he get money instead of the vacations to make up for it??? I remember watching this when it actually happened. Very entertaining.

Those two players do look alike; doesn't necessarily affect the intelligence of the players. We all ready have a question for the game; so it seems that they were competitive all the way through as per the status quo of most opponents.

Art's announcing is not as exciting as Jay Stewart, Bob hilton or Charlie O. Frankly I would've liked Alan Kalter (a great announcer- who once did game shows back in the 70s and early 80s-) as an announcer for the show.

Hey, Art James was also a Sub-announcer during the Ray Combs era of Family Feud when Gene Wood had laryngitis if memory serves me correctly.
