My first trip from Columbus, OH to Los Angeles in a semi took me across beautiful Vail pass. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. It was Jan of 07. Chain laws were in effect. White Knuckle driving for sure. Awesome video.
@adammcdonald84 Lol. Two months after I started trucking I had a load going through the Vail pass 15 mins after the chain laws were lifted while loaded to 79,820 lbs. Hit a patch of ice on an uphill and had to drop to 4th (10 speed).
been through this area of the country several times. if you'll that havent been out this way or to some of the southwest u.s., the vids are beautiful to watch, but they dont do it justice. i highly recomment youll get out this way and see it for urselves, you will not regret it. (summer preferably if you arent an experienced driver, wink)
Great job with the vid! I drove this stretch last October; Denver to Grand Junction and it was epic. I'd love to see you do a vid of Glenwood Canyon along that same stretch of I-70.
