  • @SPB282008 Eh well, you are right. Though you could argue that the players we do have are pretty good; for what we are and USA hockey, it's not too shabby. Though you are right in saying that Canada churns out those players year in and out. However, our junior programs are really catching up to you guys, so who knows what the future has in store for both programs.

  • wow kudos to you barbarian i could never cheer for the states it's just my hockey and national ignorance i guess lol

  • @moneyball69 it was severely tested during this past World Hockey Championship. but yeah, USA Hockey is on the rise.

  • @barbarian92 it's gonna be a great rivalry for many years to come thats for sure

  • @moneyball69 darn tooting man!

  • @barbarian92 your a joke you guys win once and you think your all that typical yank your fucked

  • @choppergunner123 Maybe I am, but hey, we stopped your would be 6th straight WJC gold medal bid. I know we came in 2nd to you guys at the Olympics, but given that we weren't supposed to even get that far, it's pretty good; and in OT to Crosby, who isn't all that bad of a player. And we did beat your U-17, U-18, and U-20 (world juniors) team, in the same year. Bottom line is that it's going to be close between the US and Canada for years to come now.

  • @barbarian92 no you wont win this year , check how many times Canada has won the junior championships , don't put Team Canada Hockey and Us hockey in the same sentence most of best American players are Canadian decent or weren't good enough to make team Canada so they played for you .

  • @choppergunner123 The only person on the WJC roster for team USA that was of Canadian descent was Luke Walker. I don't think that's saying something there. Come on man, just because you normally win it doesn't mean that you'll necessarily win it-just look at this past WJC when team USA won it. Face it, the more competition around the world, the better it gets for Canadian and American hockey; the more competition, the better you need to get.

  • @barbarian92 totally agree our junior team this year was over confident they need some competition

  • @choppergunner123 If Canada are so dominant then why did they lose to USA this year???

  • @nikebauer1993 um was is five strait golds umm that doesn't sound like domination at all

  • @choppergunner123 it's in the past. you're starting at 0 consecutive medals, we're starting at 1. bottom line is, the world and hockey in general is starting to catch up. we have to earn it now.

  • @barbarian92 did you watch the Olympics? This is the World Juniors. The Olympics is what really shows who the best is.

Also, in almost every NHL team, a Canadian is either the best or one of the best. A note-able exception would be Detroit. But their best players are definitely not American.

  • @AFredCalledFred I did watch the Olympics, yes. Maybe the Olympics is a better showcase of talent, but the WJC also showcases the future of these country's hockey players. Canada did win the Olympics, and props to them, but the US' silver medal shows that we are up there.

And re: your point about the NHL teams, we have a lot of up and coming talent that are on the teams. Zach Parise and Bobby Ryan are some of them.

  • @barbarian92 Yes but on both of those teams a Canadian player is arguably the best. It's debatable with the Devils because Brodeur is normally their best player but has not been playing as well lately. Bobby Ryan is good but Getzlaf and Perry are better.

Although you are right, the future of US hockey will probably give Canadians a run for their gold.

  • @choppergunner123 They are so dominant that they conceded a goal in the olympic final with 18 seconds to go? And so dominant that SWITZERLAND took them to a shootout, and so dominant that the USA beat the in the preliminary round??? YEAH that sounds dominant???? HAHAHHA

  • @nikebauer1993 USA beat us in the preliminary round because Brodeur decided it would be fun to play the puck every time it came withing 10 feet of him. Notice how much we improved when Luongo got put in net.

  • @AFredCalledFred It did make for one heck of a gold medal game, so props to Canada for that!

  • @barbarian92 we had 5 u-17 teams. you guys only played our best province, and it was still a pretty close game. i was there!

  • Props to the video owner on being a good sport about this game. That's a skill which I have found most canadians lacking.

  • @HydratedProductions Thanks man! I'm actually American if you haven't guessed, but yeah, thanks again!

  • @barbarian92 Ooooooh! That Explains it... I knew it was to good to be true... <3

  • eberle is gonna be sick with hall if the oilers come in last in league 30 teams to be behind them

  • I hate to rub it in, but go Team USA! Still though, amazing game last night guys. Hope we can meet again in Buffalo for a rematch; lord knows that will be awesome to watch!

  • I still can't watch this without getting nervous. It's insane.

  • jordan eberle oilers 4 life

  • SORRY barbarian92 that the US lost. but what a game eh! man that was soo intence.:D

    GO CANADA!!!

  • yeah thanks. i mean, if the us had to lose to canada more or less that's what i want, minus mccollum's horrendus play down the stretch. but yeah, amazing game for canada-us and canada-russia though.

  • those were awesome games

  • This is the first time I've seen the shootout on video since I watched the game live @ Scotia Bank Place. Amazing memories I will have for the rest of my life.

  • tavares is going to look good in a leafs jersey...only team he wants to play for

  • yeah this is what pisses me off, the leafs will be 4th from worst team in the league, and then they will start doing good near the end of the season, miss playoffs and in turn get a shitty pick and not have the rights to tavares, headman, that slvakian goaltender, or any other good player

  • John Tavares looks to be a very nice addition to the New York Islanders.

  • that is, if the lightning doesn't pick him first

  • I don't think the Lightning would take Tavares, they would probably take Hedman being that they need good defense.

  • i qonquer

  • I was so tense when I watched this.

  • wow what a game what a nice pair of goals by Canada

  • yeah canada with 5 seconds to tie it! i thought it was over but eberle saved us! anyways,

    canada= gold!

  • awesome! thanks for posting this! I totally missed the end of the game :). Go Canada Go!

  • you missed canada scoring with 5 seconds left to tie it

  • LOl , what did you say in the Vid after Tavares scores? Are you a team Canada fan?

  • i think that might have been my dad. and no i'm not a team canada fan, i'm a team usa fan.

  • Shits WEAK russia Canada ALL DAYY
