Haroun was not an imam. He was a Nabi. Does this mean Ali was a nabi (Naoozobillah). This hadeeth just says that ALi is like a brother to holy prophet.
Holy Prophet also said that if anyone was to be prophet after him it would be Umar. If you believe in the former why dont you believe this as well.

But after that the most authentic collection of sayings of holy Prophet is hadees. If someone does not believe the truth of Sahih Sitta, his eeman must be based on quran only and nothing else, as all the references except that are much inferior and that includes nahjatul balagha (just a collection of lectures - unauthentic)

1. Abubakar did not usurp any one's right. Holy prophet himself signalled his deputyship by nominating him to be imam of all (including ali) during his terminal illness and even said his own prayers alongside him.

Abubakar and umar went out to tell the news of death of holy prophet. On their way they saw leaders of quraish fighting over who would be the next leader. Remember Arabs have tribal culture and many a fight arises when a leader of tribe dies. Abubakar and umar were caught in this onslaught. The end result is history. But it is historically, factually and morally wrong to deuce that they went there deliberately to elect a caliph.

The event of Ghadeer is not an important event if you consider the historical facts and refrain from one sided story.
1. the event took place for the sake of a few hundred people who refused ali's leadership in a small expedition.
2. this is supported by the location of khum ghadeer. if you see the map it lies between makkah and madina. When total muslim population was about 1 lakh, people from syria, taif and other place had left only madiniites were left (not more than few thousand!)
If holy prophet needed to announce the leadership of ali he would have done so at the occasion of last sermon when all the muslims were present at Arafat. The ayat confirming that Deen had been completed came at that very occasion and not at the occasion of Ghadeer. Then the holy prophet asked from all if he had conveyed the message of Allah to the faithful to which they replied in affirmative and then he raised his finger and said thrice "O Allah, be my witness"

The Shias were the original Muslims who beleived in Prophet and ALi as the successor or Imam after him as ordered by prophet. After prophet passed away a group split and elected Abu Bakr. So you my dear brother split from the Shias-simple!! End of story

Haroun was not an imam. He was a Nabi. Does this mean Ali was a nabi (Naoozobillah). This hadeeth just says that ALi is like a brother to holy prophet.
Holy Prophet also said that if anyone was to be prophet after him it would be Umar. If you believe in the former why dont you believe this as well.

Ibrahim's dua certainly augments my point. There was no generalization that prophethood would run in the family. Moreover Imamat (meaning here leadership thru prophethood of Nations) ends with holy Prophet Muhammad. Ali may be from the same bloodline but so were Hamza, Abbas, Abu talib & Abu jahl. How rank only ali as imam and not the others. This proves bloodline is no criteria. That's why Ibrahim had to make special prayer.

Anything that goes in your favour is a true hadees but the ones that goes against you becomes weak. I admit that ahadith can be weak; they are not as strong as holy quran. But after that the most authentic collection of sayings of holy Prophet is hadees. If someone does not believe the truth of Sahih Sitta, his eeman must be based on quran only and nothing else, as all the references except that are much inferior and that includes nahjatul balagha (just a collection of lectures - unauthentic)

1. Abubakar did not usurp any one's right. Holy prophet himself signalled his deputyship by nominating him to be imam of all (including ali) during his terminal illness and even said his own prayers alongside him.

Abubakar and umar went out to tell the news of death of holy prophet. On their way they saw leaders of quraish fighting over who would be the next leader. Remember Arabs have tribal culture and many a fight arises when a leader of tribe dies. Abubakar and umar were caught in this onslaught. The end result is history. But it is historically, factually and morally wrong to deuce that they went there deliberately to elect a caliph.

The event of Ghadeer is not an important event if you consider the historical facts and refrain from one sided story.
1. the event took place for the sake of a few hundred people who refused ali's leadership in a small expedition.
2. this is supported by the location of khum ghadeer. if you see the map it lies between makkah and madina. When total muslim population was about 1 lakh, people from syria, taif and other place had left only madiniites were left (not more than few thousand!)

we do not beleive in Royalty but the absolute surrender to ALLAH st and his commandments one of which was to follow the guides that were chosen by him and revealed to us by non other than the prophet Muhammad(saw).

Every "genuine" scholar has agreed that Fatm Zahra(as) was pregnant when Umar smashed the door of the prophet's household and hurt the daughter of the prophet(as) .This is a fact and only enemies of the Prophet and Islam deny this fact.
