Yes, the centre part from 4'10" was used in the 'entrance' music just before the actual show started. And what a fascinating piece of music it is. I was pleased to see Synergy music later featured in the later laserium concert "Laserium Starship" (Phobos & Deimos Go To Mars). Once seen never forgotten! As you say, shame it can'r be replicated now.
I always ended (Sequence) 14 with a single white strobe flash and a total black out, it created quite the stir/ The complete playlist for Laserium II can be found at Laserium.com if you want to see what played with it.
Tangerine Dream fans should check out Klaus Schulze's Farscape (2009) with Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance. Not classic synth, but well worth your time.
The center section starting at 4:10 of (Sequence) 14 was used as one of the more interesting numbers in the original Laserium laser light show. The digital image effects associated with this video are a pale comparison to the blend of colors produced on one of their usual planetarium dome venues. Pity that cannot be conveyed.
Does anyone know of something I can listen to that resembles the music of Larry Fast and the team of Tangerine Dream? I am frustrated with most of today's music.
@mlr1326 Guess you now already Jarre, Klaus Schulze and Vangelis, and with a little web surf, try maybe Ian Boddy, Mark Schreeve, Steve Roach, Erik Wollo, Radio massacre international, Air Sculpture, Arcane, Ron Boots at groove nl, Gert Emmens, Robert Rich, Ozric Tentacles, Wally Badarou, Frederick Rousseau, Free System Project and I miss so much, go also on CD Baby you will find hundreds. Because today the new comers are everywhere, and it's so easy to post music or videos on the net
35 years later, I have purchased a cheap Yamaha keyboard and I'm trying to learn to play track over track to make something to listen to because I don''t know of any other's that makes music these days like it was in the 70s. I do love everything Tangerine Dream does.
@mlr1326 thanx for your knowledgebase,....i would say,in times of looping, liveLooping ,sampling, sequencing, everything is possible to make(theoretisch)with any kind of equipment....kind of golden age(i got a rc-50 &playing guitar nowadays)....but we know anciant (wrong written?) God of analog synths !
@mlr1326 yes emerson was great, used to hear - pictures at an exhibition - a lot, & klaus schulze, tangerine dream a.s.o. hmmm time to search for a new playlist !
@maulaff15 Emerson worked directly with Robert Moog on introducing the synthesizer. Pictures was a great album, as was their first album along with Tarkus and Trilogy. The difference with them and Larry Fast was that Larry produced only synth music and I loved it.
@mlr1326 forget to tell, our music teacher,Mr.Schneider ,borrowed his MiniMoog to us,for a class work(referat) we had alot of fun whith it and a Dr. Becker Sequencer Box :) (it was a small plastic box)
@mlr1326 Yes, Keith Emerson was among the first in a prog band, but some others began slowly to show, apart Tangerine Dream who had success in 1974 with phaedra with the moog first time, but made 3 or 4 ambiant albums before and Klaus Schulze with picture music in the same year, he was not famous yet. Kraftwerk were beginning too. There were also the 2 attempt before of Wendy Carlos and Isao Tomita who used only Synths but on Classical originals around 1969 and 1970.

Anything by Brian Eno, particularly his Apollo album. Also Carbon Based Lifeforms takes TD to a new level.

This is some cutting edge synth music. His first two albums were fantastic. The only person that I think was ahead of him was Keith Emerson.
