i love how this is technically the song i discovered Opeth to, i first heard it from a friend in about my 5th grade year, either wasnt told it was Opeth or didnt notice, brushed it off as pretty cool (music didnt strike me too much then)...fast forward to my 7h grade year, i start hearing Opeth, and i get to this song and just think, "holy shit this is THAT song" haha...the very reason this is one of my favorites from Opeth

I've always taken this album to be about a black man who falls in love with a white woman. Their relationship is found out, he escapes, she ends up getting killed. He comes back, murders them all for what they've done, and then gets hung by people wearing white (presumably in KKK fashion)

Hearing this song takes me back to when I saw them live and heard this song for the first time.

I was cumming my jeans when his solo came expressed by the comment below.

But more percisely it was the solo trade off At 645.

The guitarists were togehter and then mikeal pulled off for the solo leaving the now ex guitarist.
