  • ok please understand that this is a real 2009 Porsche GT2. and the reason you see the from wheels movie is because of this cool technology called TRACTION CONTROL. the front wheels spin along with the front to provide traction.

  • HAHA are you a dumbass or what? OK please understand that TRACTION CONTROL doesn't magically create a torque pathway to undriven wheels. It's a computer program that modulates brake pressure automatically to keep the wheels from spinning. Either the front and rear of the dyno are linked or they gave this GT2 the AWD system from a regular Turbo model. GT2's are rear drive only.

  • @turbo311 You sir are correct!! Someone get this guy a bowl of frosted flakes and a high 5 cause he rocks!!

  • Dynos do not react with the rear wheels. I seen enough dynos to know that the front shouldn't be moving if its a RWD.

  • some do. it does it for most accurate torque reading..

  • crushes just about any other, GTR, Corvette, Ferrari.

  • this cant be a GT2 . GT2 are rear whell drive cars. this probably some lame 4wd base turbo

  • no the dyno here reacts both wheels even if only rear wheels are moving.

  • Wow! We GT2philes are keen. I spotted the front wheels spinning and looked to see if I was being fooled. Then I read the comments and it all made sense,, or a little more than before my thoughts.

So the rear rollers cause the front rollers to move AND WITHOUT them moving,, the whole car and its computer are thrown off? So, we have a pseudo rear wheel drive GT2 then, eh? Only from the mind of its sensors, though, right?

  • Which kinda makes a AWD? In a weird way? Haha.

  • read ayaxro's and theberengersniper's replies to your post

  • no the Dyno reacts with the rear wheels as well which makes front wheels move

  • If its RWD dyno the placement of the car wouldn't be lie all on top of the platform. Half the drive train would be, or use a 1 roller platform. This is weird, I know GT2 is a RWD but this one all 4 Wheels are spinning. Probably modded for AWD? I don't know.

  • OK just saw another dyno of a GT2 and it was rolling the fronts too, according to GIAC tuning, the GT2 needs to see front wheel speeds to properly funcion, so the rear rollers move the front ones, generating roll to the front wheels. way to complicate things Porsche.

  • The stability management system would probably go nuts if the front wheels weren't spinning. It would think you were about to have a horrendous accident.

  • Ok the GT2 is RWD only, this car however has all the exterior looks of a GT2, anyone care to explain, if its an AWD Dyno would the front rollers also move even if there is no power on them?....

  • ugh the gt2 is 2WD not AWD... that is a Turbo not a GT2

  • Great results! We wait some street vids too :)
