  • @anyone who was mean about this: it's called modern dance, it's actually quite good if you saw the ENTIRE show you can't judge it by the clip you see here. And it was great because it got the community involved. Like i said, it's not crap it's MODERN DANCE you morons

  • Waste of taxpayer dollars.

  • Wow! I loved this video. How awesome. I was just coming in on the ferry yesterday lookin' over at the quarry... What a neat video to find.. Thanks.

  • Awesome!!! Loved it - having just made the trip from Stonington to Isle au Haut, passing the quarry.

  • awesome... perfect... la vie est belle, n'est pas?

  • Frankly, as a Taxpayer, I find if revolting that this piece of useless, mindless CRAP was produced with $10,000 of federal grant money and another $5,000 from the Maine "Arts" Council.

If these morons like parading around in silly costumes and videotaping the afternoon's session... what if THEY raised their own $15,000 to do it?

    Hmmmmmmm?

  • There a lot of OSHA violations in this video.

That is, after all a construction site.

  • ROFL...what a joke...the huge cable marionette is kinda interesting...but otherwise...I feel like I'm watching a nursery school dance recital.

  • Do you have contact info for anyone that was in this film? I think an old high school friend who I have not seen in 20 years was involved (as well as with the Cabin Fever Theater Company in Maine). If you do have contact info, please contact me so I may reach out to this old friend.

  • Reminds me of the old days at Bread & Puppet's Domestic Resurrection Circus in Glover Vt.

  • I'm an Islander living with my wife in SF.

I recall most of these creatures from my childhood - I think that this is one of the few times adults have ever seen them. No wonder my career is making a virtual world, coming from the Island...

Love to my sister Amanda and cousins Meredith and Cindy...and all at Opera House Arts.

Thank you for nurturing the unbelievable magic that has always been part of that special place. I miss you all terribly, and count the days until I can rejoin you.

  • Hehe.. my friend was stage manager.. but wow. Certainly different than I thought it would be...

  • loved....

    ... the colours,

    ... the mellow trees,

... the marionette! and the biking feather detail in the back!

    mm like it.

  • So innovative and fantastic. I wish I could see more. Who were those fabulous flying show girls?

  • Those fabulous flying show girls were: Rebecca Darling, Emily Kent, Wendee Rogerson, and Breanna Gribble and Jessica ....can't remember. Will look it up!

  • Amazing and fun and can watch it over and over. No longer can tell my friends "you had to be there" because now I can get them there. Thank you! The best.

  • Great art piece! Love the music and contrast of colorful costumes against dusty quarry. Bravo!!

  • oh thank you!!
