Where did you get your dollar figures from? It doesnt cost anything while a dog is pregnant, except she will eat twice as much. And c cections cost around $150 to $250, and are rare. Spaying a healthy dog actually causes ovarian cancer. Read your facts.

maybe it doesn't cost anything to you because you are a Back Yard Breeder !!! A BYB doesn't care about the health of her dam before breeding. However a Responsible Breeder dose care about her Dam so he dose take her to the vet wile the dam is pregnant. and a C section cost depends on the size, weight, and how many puppies she is going to have.
