I emailed Tony Visconti who produced Unicorn, asking him what "diamonds" meant, a couple years ago. He wrote an email back saying it was a secret. . Just like that. Hmm maybe it is just one of those things people say, and there is no explanation. Maybe diamonds is like a mystical temple on a spiritual plane, at least I like to think it is something esoteric like that.

Nice job of extracting and reversing what sounds like him just sighing, in the song. How about doing that with The Seal of Seasons, where backwards he says, "I have a reason, its name is diamonds. Hare Krishna has more to offer."

And Electric Warrior was brilliant too; That simple Black and gold cover, with all the lyrics on the back. I was a T Rex fan first and had to go back to discover the Tyrannosarus Rex stuff. (I was too young to have known it at the time.)
