I kind of like Kronenbourg ... used to drink it when living in England. One of the few decent lagers you could get. -However, it might be better freshly from the tub! Never had it straight from the bottle.

But you gotta accept, that when it comes to ale there are lovers and haters and nothing between. I've tried it on occasion of two ale-fests and I don't like it! However, most Englishmen around sticked to Stella ... & having to choose between those I'd rather go for Kronenbourg

This and Tuborg are the only Lager I drink alot. You should try some Tuborg it's amazing.

Tuborg is just another mass produced soulless beer.It may be marginally better than 1664.Far better are the lagers produced by craft breweries;Schiehallion and the lagers from Brewdog are vastly better.There are great lagers from Germany and Czech Republic.From the US too such as Brooklyn Lager.Then there are English ales.You ought to broaden your outlook mate.

First time I had this beer was when I was 18, bought a "sampler pack" of a dozen or so beers, never liked it. Tried it a few times since then, just can't make myself like it.

I believe that American and European tastes differ alot. Id prefer a Kronenbourg to any American Lager (commercial ones). Its not my fav beer either to be honest tho. Just my opinion.

Virtually any US micro lager will knock 1664 out of the ballpark.Brooklyn Lager is an example of a great beer in this style.Its complex,formidable taste is beyond a moron like Taylor2001.

I agree with Goldsnake concerning it's bitterness, however I suspect the beers over there would be a fair bit more sweet than here in NZ.

I'm kind of a fan of this beer. I like the bitterness and i actually don't think it's quite as bitter as you make it seem. I'm not a fan of sweet lagers in general though, so this one is in my alley. Still much better out there, but i'd buy this if there was a promotion on it for sure

here in scotland yeah kronenbourg is quite popular though its not my fav,..U should review tenents lager. Just a personal fav of mine.U might have a hard time getting it though m8..keep the vids coming mate!!!

@mick123876 tennents is absolute trash.The Blackfriars pub in Glasgow's West End doesn't serve Tennents because it doesn't want the type of people who drink the beer frequenting the pub.Scotland is famous for its ale but there are some breweries(Harviestoun comes to mind)that do quality lagers.Tennents ain't a quality beer.

I like K1664... or Kronie, which my friends call it. Definitely better on tap than bottle though. Kronie on tap also has a higher alcohol content than bottle. Check out some of the Fullers beers sometime too.

I actually love K1664, It's an "Alsacian" beer, brewed in Strasbourg, France. The reason why its so good is that it used to be German Territory until WW1.

Kronenbourg 1664 is not that good I picked a few up when I was in paris only because the corner store only stocked Kronenbourg 1664 and I agree thumbs down its bitter nasty and plain I drank like 1/2 and threw that shit out

I have seen this beer at my local beer mart, and have been curious. Its pricy in my area and I have passed on it on numerous occasions. Good to see you are still spooning the beers. I love the spoon trick. You are right about pouring it out. Only problem is that I buy singles. So I only had the one. When they spill like that it does change the taste a little but not enough to make this beer good. Ha-ha. I am fortunate to have a beer store that sells soo many singles or I might not be able to do so many reviews. I simply couldn't afford it.
