Vandals get a high from breaking up buildings like a drug rush ...... According to NHS Physological and Neural Research and many are actually on harder drugs. as for arsonists it 100% physological imbalance caused from childhood and becomes an addiction
Having worked here in the early 80's and loved the place, this video broke my fucking heart! I hope that this is not the end for the County Arms .... Would be a real shame to see a part of our local heritage go to waste in this way! Come on folks, let's get our heads together and get some funding to get this place up and running again!
this place could still be amazing in the hands of the right person....funny how nothing can be done here yet millions can be spent on a mosque over the road hhhmmm
I now live in Cyprus, but saw this on You Tube when browsing today, In the 1970s i worked for a Cig Vending company and I looked after the cig vend machines for the Everards account The County was one of my calls. I knew many landlords there, a Jeff Ashburner, who originally had a Newsagent in my home Village of Oadby, My good friends Mick and Viv Bulman also ran the County ,my nick name given to me by the landlords all over was "John the Fag"
How sad. I had great times in Charlie's Bar in the 70s. Wondered who put the flag up. Blaby Council want stringing up for letting this go on. It could be a great pub again. Its in a great location. Shame on Blaby Council...wonder why they have let developers have it??? Mmmmm
@coltsuperocean10 dont know mate just some lad off eyres monsell estate that used to drink in the local more of a drinking partner than a freind. pubs all over leicester and england are closing its a disgrace. the victory is being turned into a car park and many more into wine bars for middle class snobs
Agreed I past it all the time but was very spooky watching that video. It almost looked as though people had just upped and left. Never realised thered be so much left behind.
the pub was shut down before they burnt it! i know this because my mother lived behind that pub long before it shut down!!!
