Its a GREAT idea for homeless people. For wilderness camping I don't want to be attached to my shelter. If its raining all day I'm going to want to move around inside my tent, if there's a bear outside I want more than a centimeter between my skin and his.

@grizzly977 I also noticed that the tent part is open from beneath if you are in an horizontal position.
a good feature to update is to have a cover for that part and an inflatable pillow.
