Dutch 'gothic' metal bands.

Één ding ik verstaan niet.. alle van jullie band's zingen in Engels...Ik weet, mijn Nederlands is niet perfekt, maar ik vind je moet één beetje in Nederlands hebben, 1 of 2 band's tenminste.

Some fantastic bands here. My favorites are Autumn, The Gathering, Epica, and Within Temptation. Another band is Satyrian. Kemi Vita from The Dreamside is one of the singers in that band. :)

why are all the lead singers female? i just happened to find this page looking for dutch metal bands (being I'm dutch) metal bands here in the states are obviously dominated by male singers. One other thing Dutch chicks are the hottest girls in Europe!

i have no idea why they are called gothic metal...

it has nothnig to do with the goth scene, goth bands are Bauhaus, the Damned, Alien sex fiend, Clan of Xymox, siouxsie and the Banshees etc.

please get your facts straight.

the point is, people who are not familiar with the goth scene (almost everyone) thinks because of these names that goth music is metal.

that's the problem i have.

and band's callem themself goth...yeah they don't have a clue.

still good music tho.

@Mario6732  Gothic Metal evolved from the merging of core ideas behind Gothic Rock with the Doom & Symphonic Metal movements. Gothic rock then further evolved so yes Gothic Metal doesn't have much to do with the current goth scene but its still its own genre that can't be fit anywhere else

It's funny to see how many bands have evolved within the Gothic scene. Some more Dutch Gothic bands you should check out (many bands are somewhat related): A New Dawn Snow Transcentience Turn GPS Galanor Purple Q Dragons & Lillies Ex Libris Magion Stolen Dream Elemental Journey (none of these bands are 'big bands' yet).
