  • Whoever dislikes this is a tramp :)

  • this makes me wanna reinstall fallout 3... too good music...

  • Comment removed

  • At any point from 1930 to 1959 you could say "That song is awesome" without having to check. But I do like other types of music, too.

  • The 50's were the awesomest.

  • Todays music is the gayiest.

  • Bob is better than Bing

  • This song is the greatest !

  • Looking at some of the comments, I'm not sure everyone understood the choice of music. The whole point of the music selection for Fallout 3 is meant to provide a contrast between the idyllic, innocence of the music and what you are doing in the game (for example eating corpses). This is my favourite song from the F3 soundtrack. I'm not sure I've have ever come across Bob Crosby and The Bobcats otherwise. And just I love it.

  • @Intr0spector A good explanation, but from an in-game perspective, these are just the records that the radio station(s) found, so they played them. I'm glad someone finally mentioned the great irony of these songs in Fallout games. Thanks.

  • After recently moving to an entirely new country, and just have visited my old mother for her birthday, I shed a single tear

  • The vaults the lonliesst, The brahmin the mooiest, The guns the shootiest, The raiders the nastiest, Wayyy back Homeeee.

  • @TheNewspaperBoi I like that you tried to write a parody but your rhyme scheme is kind of brutal. sorry bud, just had to say it.

  • @norsefire13

norsefire ain't no gun for hire, better call him a raider because he ain't a hater. He ain't no regulator he's a goddamned vault dweller! Lol, how's that rhyme scheme?

  • the music is good way back home

  • Its great when you have a family member that knows all theses old songs by heart! Fallout<333

  • >insert another dumb lame ass joke about dislikes<

  • @GunsandBrawls1990 the 30's and 40's were already prime with racism. How many ghouls with equality did you meet?

  • I love the music for this game. it makes me so happy, and wish my grandpa had a computer so i could tell him to go to youtube and listen to this! And I really miss this game.. we borrowed it and i played it and beat it so many times...

now im stuck with beyond good and evil. anybody remember THAT game?

  • 5 People listen to enclave radio

  • its ironic, b/c i feel the song describes the lone wanderer exploring the capital wastes and pining for life in the vault. Yet, in the end, the vault has lots of problems and was doomed to failure due to genetic inbreeding eventually. Indeed, he didnt 'leave the homestead' as much as he was exiled... twice.

Moreover, there was never a 'perfect' world. Be it the vault, the alternate reality 50s world, or pre war capital wastes, it was really messed up.

  • thumbs up if you got collectors edition! :D

  • I love this song :)

  • 5 people left the Homestead

  • Dude, it's Grass is the Springiest and the Birds are the Wingiest. You know, grass and springtime, birds have wings.

  • Well grass is sprangy, and he said the birds are the wingiest. Use your imagination man its a song.

  • Can someone explain to me how grass is sprangy and birds are wangy?

  • 5 people don't like home?

  • The Courier's the deadliest

    His friends are the buggiest

    His guns are the jammiest

    His karma's the evilest,

    His skull, the hole-iest,

    Pip-boy's the dustiest,

    Way back home...

  • @TheSonOfDumb fail

  • @711grim

Do I get a Medal of Fail?

  • @TheSonOfDumb maybe?? or maybe you need some mentats to think up some better rhymes :)

  • @711grim

I don't have the caps for it D:

  • @TheSonOfDumb i got some mentats on me... i'll trade you for some pre-war books

  • @711grim

I... uh, don't have books on me.

    Will a T45d do?

  • @TheSonOfDumb you're willing to trade me power armor for some mentats?... something's fishy here...

  • @711grim

Well, artillery has punched a few holes in it and It's fallen into the Grand Canyon so its value should be 14 caps.

  • @TheSonOfDumb hmmmm.... deal

  • 4 people prefer Enclave radio instead of this FFS ?!?!

  • best song to listen to when nailing a raiders head to a tree or wall or car or a nuka-cola machine.

  • @hydr0ponicxx i nailed a supa mutants head to a shelf FTW

  • This song makes me want to go "Home-Home" in the Netherlands(ironic, since i was born in America, and i am only somewhat Dutch). It feels like i am not at home, in my home here in Oregon, like i belong elewhere, and this song just makes me feel homesick, wherever "home" may be.

  • @torkolv97 hurray for the netherlands!! :)

  • @dontknowagoodnick My home from places that are not my home, even though it is not.

    Ironic, yeah?

  • @torkolv97 owkay...

  • @dontknowagoodnick You see, i am somewhat Dutch, so the Netherlands is my "home" even though i have never been there, i reside in the U.S. which is my home, though the Netherlands is also my home, so it is my home away from where my home is not, though it IS not. So it is ironic that i listen to this song "Way Back Home", and i wish to be in the Netherlands, for it is my home.

    You get it now?

  • @torkolv97 sort of yeah..

  • @torkolv97

That makes absolutley no sense, it's obviously not your home if' you've never been there, that's completley beside the point, really. Your home is..*snort* America.

  • @torkolv97

Well I'm here now, and you're not missing shit.

  • @torkolv97 um....okay...

  • im so glad that someone took the time to put all this wonderful music into a complete collection. thank you so much!

  • The roads are the dustiest, the winds are the gustiest, the gates are the rustiest, the pies are the crustiest. The songs the lustiest, the friends are trustiest way back home. The trees are the sappiest, the days are the nappiest, the dogs are the yappiest, the kids are the scrappiest. The jokes the snappiest, the folks the happiest way back home! Thumbs of for Fallout 3!

  • 4 PEOPLE LISTEN TO ENCLAVE RADIO!

  • 4 raiders disliked this song

  • @49677severman i wonder how they get internet in the wasteland? i think it was the enclave.

  • when i hear songs like this and compare it to todays music i think to myself : man i was born in the wrong generation!

  • @falloutmaniac29 amen dude...

  • @falloutmaniac29 My favorite comment ever! I can't agree more. I wish I could go back to 1950 and go to rapture :P

  • @falloutmaniac29 Me to ;)))

  • off to canaberry comens lol

  • this song is the most catchiest out of all the FO3 songs

  • @beavisandbutthead9 i'd say im tickled pink is the most infamous earmite for myself

  • @WinterNikita lol,i like all the songs, but idk, this was just the catchiest one for me,and i always waited for this one to start playing on GNR

  • How would someone go about getting this song on their computer?

  • @mycriminalintent You should try dirpy.com. Copy URL, and dirpy it. You'll know what to do. You can do this for any sort of audio you'd like. :)

  • @TheObserver121

    Thanks for the info, man.

  • the detail in the post apocalyptic wasteland and towns is fantastic, but there are no cribs with baby skeletons in them. I agree killing the squirts in little lamplight would be a great way to boost your ear collection.

  • im a weary exile singing my song of holiness

  • This and one other song were the best in fallout 3 XD (Haven't found it yet though it had a man and woman in it)

I love the way almost all these comments are about fallout 3 :) And that fallout has shown that older music is amazing :D

  • @rvthereverb

    fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Galaxy_News_Radio_%28radio%29

might help you find it... just scroll down a bit

  • this is the whole story of Fallout 3 in one song.

  • The food is the yuckiest

    The kills are the bloodiest

    The ghouls are the ugliest

    This game is the buggiest

    The jet the druggist

    The deaths the funniest

    Way back home

  • @MrSojitoji I like your version of this song better. :P

  • @MrSojitoji rofl

  • @MrSojitoji Best. Comment. Ever. xD

  • @cheeseman3232 Thanks :)

  • @MrSojitoji Someone keeps flagging your comments as spam. xP Which is complete bullshit because they are hilarious.

  • @cheeseman3232 Really? thanks. if that person is reading this comment, then GO TO HELL!

  • @MrSojitoji You sir, are a genius.

  • @ihatefurrys Why, thank you.

  • @MrSojitoji YES hahahahaha just, YES.

  • Tenpenny is the haughtiest

    The nightwear the naughtiest

    The ghouls are the rottiest

    Their skin is the spottiest

    The bombs, the boomiest

    The waste, the fumiest

    Way back home

  • @MrSojitoji lol lol lol you must have played this game to death and loved it!!

  • This song is an invite to sit back, close the eyes and feels to be back in the good, old times. Yes, maybe it has a worrying background, but everyone...and i mean EVERY one should never forget the past!

Sometimes i wished that i could turn the time back, to live there.

  • @Eierweier In a nuclear wastland or a dead boring 1950s lifestyle where every one was afriad of Communism.

  • @Eierweier

Same shit, different era. Human Annihilation Uncertain.

  • Games like Bioshock and this brought this style of songs back... awesome! :)

  • I remember hearing this wonderful song, with those catchy lyrics, sung by Perry Como in the early 1950s.

  • a song written during WW2 to get the troops to want to go back home into small town America rather then the big cities, which is what happened at the end of WW1, which was theorized to contribute to the great depression. A great song with an interesting intent.

  • Blackblackgrey - a better question is how come when I hit a window with a sledge hammer it doesn't break? And God, I hate the 'invisible walls' it just kills the believability of the game and snatches you back into cold reality when you can't cross a river or enter a building because "you're not allowed". WTF

  • I love this song from Fallout 3! And great vid!

  • i have that sign it awesome

  • dont know why i left the vault tech

    i really must confess

    i a weary wanderer

    singin meh song af lonleynessssssss

  • I have always loved 30s-50's jazz stylings. fallout has brought it to a new level and new people. fallout, fallout 2, fallout tactics, 3, new vegas. all unstopable beasts. thanks for puttin these on here. i could use some relaxation at work when i dont have my laptop. [props]

  • Does anyone know of any other good music, other than the music in fallout. I've already downloaded all their music.

  • ur the best OptimumPx u picked mer favorite songs

  • This song totally symbolizes the game...

  • @ Black

It's just censoring, In the original silent hill there was supposed to be evil children things in teh school but they were removed because of the censors.

  • Genius, Bethesda. Perfect fit!

And thank you, OptimumPx, for putting these up.

  • real music

  • @Contreras12349 as opposed to what fake music?

  • i love this song!! is soooooo beautiful :,)

  • look at itunes XD

  • I almost cried the first time I heard this...

  • How could you almost cry? The words true, are great...but the melody doesn't lend itself to triger a sad or lonesome mood? Of course, it's none of my business..sorry, just curious. Hope though, that this finds you well and happy. I do.

  • i agree its a happy memory, not a nostalgic sad song.

  • @maxymyllyon Yeah... but its sad sometimes :O

  • Sorry George: Should have viewed your You Tube Home Page first... you didn't mean a word of it! One day...you might though...You just might.

  • What do you mean "you didn't mean a word of it"? I DID. I have many fallout 3 songs favorited, including this one, but by a different uploader, and I have always loved this kind of music! Just delve a bit deeper into my favorites.

  • @george77772moons lol,why?

  • @beavisandbutthead9 Why do you think?

  • @george77772moons i have no clue really

  • @george77772moons

I don't know why, but me too.

  • @george77772moons, why? from laughing so hard or bad memories?

  • @JohnCaptian How the fuck could someone laugh at this???

  • O_O More like 30's, buddy.

  • This song is freaking hiarlious..

    The bees are the stingiest!

  • Sits In An Old, Torn Bus: Listening To Radio*

  • Way Back Home - Bob Crosby and the Bobcats - 1949

  • i hope fallout new vegas has the same kind of music!!!!!!!

  • But this time, MORE these were amaaaaaaaazing, but eventually like all songs, you can only listen to it for so long, and you hear the same songs too much as there are very few.

  • This song Rocks.

  • 2:07 sounds like two spliced tracks... anyone else notice?

  • @Jdm4292 might just be a spike in his voice but your right

  • top favorite song on GNR radio!

  • Agreed!

  • Great Song and Great game

  • thumbs up for your comment man!

  • @Dj23434 i know its bull shit ill be at Little lamplight and there some shit talking kid in there ill pull out my ft man to teach his cocky ass a lesson and he wont die what are the chances of a kid surviving that

  • You can still get a mod if you have fallout 3 for PC that lets you kill kids..especially that fucking mayor from little lamplight who thinks he's all that! If it weren't for his invincibility, I wouldn't take his shit! lol

  • Funny how the lyrics to a lot of these songs go along with the plot to the game so well.

  • man why didn't notice that earlier >.>

  • i killed kids in fallout but it was the nuke in megaton that did it lol

  • I remember the good times in Fallout 2 when you took your took your trusty Bozar and took out the entire children part of New Reno...sweet

  • I don't get why they don't allow killing children... its not like keeping it out of a game stops it happening in real life. Its not like someones gonna play this and go "shit... kids ARN'T immortal?? EXPERIMENT!" I think some people are so terrorfyed of what the world looks like, they hate it when something reminds them.

Its one of those weird things like in the uk at 16 you can have legal sex and marry, but cant watch a sex scene in a film.

  • @blackblackgrey if you could kill the kids in the game, the media would jump all over it and call it a "child Killing Simulator" or something as outlandish

  • @angrycanadian8 yes, however, those with the console on the comp version can still live out their sick fantasies.. thank god the fuckheads at fox news didn't find out...

  • @blackblackgrey So you can fuck someone, but sitting on the sidelines is illegal? DEAR GOD! And I thought AMERICA was screwed up, being able to have sex at 16 or younger without anyone giving a damn yet having them all freak out over a drop of alcohol or some strip poker.
