Glad you realized or knew that because I JUST recently figured out that I was swinging the bar away and started "flipping" it and my form has increased enormously.
I learned the hard way that looking down can sometimes equal smacking yourself clear in the noggin with the bar. If I could make any suggestion, I'd say try to look either up or straight ahead.
I've whacked myself in the chin a few times when I was learning to clean & jerk...somehow managed to avoid it snatching so far, although I've done about 3 sessions to date so plenty of time! Definitely need to remind myself to lead with my head!
Shoulder flexibility's not quite there for squat snatching yet though. Damn benching!
Drop snatches and broomhandle drills will fix that right up for you. Do a behind-the-neck jerk with an empty bar, snatch-gripped, then squat down as low as you can comfortably go while keeping an arch and your hands over your head, but not behind it...
Hold the position for a few seconds before coming up. This will "learn" you... you might want to start with a broomhandle.
Is this the Reading Uni gym?

@Selestiel It is - before I hounded them into buying the Eleiko training set.

No offense, but it looks like you're swinging the bar away from you. You may or may not be but if you are, it will hold you back from higher weight.

Slightly strange question but what weightlifting shoes are you wearing? looking at getting some myself, just weighing up the options!

Really "twist" the bar to get under it too...

Looks good.
Try and reach up right on to your toes if you can.
