  • Bure FTW. The Best Canuck!!!

  • It took Calgary ten years to recover from this goal. How many decades will it take Vancouver to recover from Game 7 against Boston in this year's Final?

  • @industrialsun Less than 12 months

  • @industrialsun Not as long as it took Calgary to recover.

  • The all too familiar scenario of Calgary losing in overtime in Game 7 or being eliminated on an overttime goal during the 90's and it carries on even today, only that they just get eliminated period in the first round or don't make the playoffs. The only exception to the rule since theri '89 Cup win was their 2004 run.

  • and against the Flames. How sweet it was.

  • 1 dislike? Mike Vernon dislikes this.

  • I love watching everyone hugging McLean, and McLean is jumping up and down

  • Why does the overtime playoff goal scored by Alex Burrows of the Vancouver Canucks against the Chicago Blackhawks, remind me so much of the OT goal Pavel Bure scored against the Calgary Flames in 1994? A successful drive in the playoffs of 1994 (even though they came up short in winning the Stanley Cup) and a hopeful successful one in 2011.

  • Well Calgary got there revenge against Van on 2004, its strange Canucks beat the flames hear and went on to the cup final and then 10 years later the Flames beat the Canucks as the 6th seed and went on to the cup final both teams could not win the cup unbelievable! This was a great win for the Canucks in there history!! I became a Canucks fan after they lost to New York now I pray every day that this great team in Vancouver will soon have a Stanley cup!

  • There's something about Don Wittman's voice that reminds me of being a kid and still believing in the Canucks. Eventually I would come to understand that Bettman had a different idea.

  • @surfer53 I was an Oiler fan growing up , stiil am , but Don's is the voice of spring for me. RIP Mr. Wittman. His call of the 1990 Dave Ellett goal in game 4 against the Oilers , for the Jets , is an all time classic!

  • Like this...if you wished you had the game winning puck from this game....

  • best rivalry in hockey

  • robson call is better

  • I'll be shocked if Pavel Bure isn't inducted into the Ring of Honour..

  • 1 gay ass flames fan

  • RAISE #10 to the rafters

  • @Bforeelz

I agree with you, raise it even if he wanted out. He played his best, deserves to be in the HHOF. I loved watching Pavel play in Vancouver

  • goal goes in at :12....makes up for Smyl attempt in 1989

  • My dad met bure and said he was the nicest guys he's met ever.

  • fuck that was awesome

  • Pavel Bure was awesome! I remember I was so happy to have his rookie card

  • 4:32 Wow, I can't even see the puck in the net.

  • That's so funny watching this video. My friends are at 1:48 behind Pat Quinn (the guy in baseball hot waving the towel) and at 3:36 behind Pavel Bure.

  • Bure is the best Canuck ever...such magic!

  • He had a bad attitude. We all know the story of how and why he left the Canucks, which is why his number will never be raised. Unlike Linden. No, of course Linden wasn't nearly as talented as Bure, but he was first class all the way.

  • Great goal from the greatest Canuck!

  • why isnt #10 raised

  • Because regardless of his mad skill, he was a prick.

  • thumbs downed ya sorry.

  • u have a thumb up

  • @antikimbo With the way Bure left, #10 will never be raised.

  • why raise a guy who wanted out... Montreal did it for obvious reasons but Bure was nix.

  • @antikimbo because of the way he left vancouver

  • @antikimbo ...he wanted out.....most teams wont honour an ex-teamate if they demand to be traded and left on bad terms....too bad though

  • @MrWestcoast45 You have no idea what you are talking about. Pavel was RUN out of town by our shitty organization. We treated him like a third class citizen. I'm happy he got to leave, only wished it could've been earlier so he'd spend his career somewhere where he'd be appreciated. One of the best Canucks of all time.

  • @L4cer8 ...actually you have no idea what YOUR talking about....Pavel developed a primadonna attitude...which is why he survived in Florida and New York for short stints...any NHL player who played with him after Vancouver will tell you that....as i recall Trevor Kidd, who played with Pavel in Fla..said the same thing after they traded Bure....

  • @MrWestcoast45 You need to check your facts kid. Run out of town.

PS, it's you're not your. Seriously. Are you 12?

  • @L4cer8 keep trolling

  • @antikimbo I know its fucking bullshit

  • @antikimbo he never wanted to play for them again: hes a jerk but he is really good

  • @rsc131 bure didn't want to play for them again cuz they treated him like shit -- he stood his ground like a man and refused to take thier abuse

  • funny anytime these two teams meet in the posties one goes out and the other goes on to the finals....in Calgary's case it was a championship once.

  • @boige not every time. Flames beat the Canucks in '83, then lost to edmonton in round two.

  • alright then, thanks.

  • otto kicked it in!!!

  • The sweetest thing about this was how much Wittman and Peplinski were blatantly cheering for Calgary in this series..

  • Canuck for life! BURE FOREVER!

  • the only thing better than that move bure put on vernon, was the call by Don Whitman. RIP

  • You got that right. If the NHL had the same rules in 1989 that it has now, Joel Otto's goal wouldn't have counted.

  • lol look at ron maclean here he looks the same

  • will NEVER get tired of watching this. this was the greatest game in Canucks history. and that was by far the greatest goal in Canucks history. the most incredible thing is that it followed the greatest save in canucks history.

  • ..ohh..even if vernon had stopped him...zalapski going in the net wouldve put the puck in too

  • now this is a goal where this is no dispute..unlike Otto's goal 5 years earlier where he was in the crease and deflected the puck in with his skate....he even wouldnt comment on it when they asked him..DENIAL!!!...

  • From an American, R.I.P Don Wittman. A true Canadian legend.

  • the flames must have been so scared of Bure

  • The Canucks are way better now, with Roberto (injury reserve) Luongo and Henrik & Daniel Sedin

  • it was brown who messed everything up for Kirk McLean... he was giving it to his wife. thats why browns got traded.... mclean was never the same after that. so sad... i love mclean! greatest save ever in this game!

  • That overhead shot was so awesome. Brown's pass was perfect

  • This is really the best video

  • i was at game 5 against dallas when we won that series and game 5 against toronto when adams scored to send us to the cup. what a year....unreal time for the canucks...what run....the run by the habs the year before was incredible too!

  • wasnt bure offside???

  • hahahahaha good one...!

  • 94 Canucks kicked assssssss

  • I remember starting the parade near Hastings and Renfrew by Pacific Coliseum up in East Van and ending Downtown on Robson. 94 Canucks rocked, that team was so exciting to watch!

  • Love the respect Bure showed Fleury

  • the reason why they didn't win the cup this year is because bure threw his gloves off and jinxed it, ur not suppose to do that until u win the cup

  • oh my i remember this game also canucks down by 1 with less then 5 minutes togo in the 3rd you never knew what was going to happen so excited to see them win and have the run that they did

  • Why didn't you kill yourself??

  • Greatest Game in Vancouver Canucks history...

Love Bure and the bench acting like little kids when he scored. That is the essence of what sports are all about.

  • I still have this game on a VHS tape.

  • please make a copy of that for me haha

  • I will pay you handsomely for it

  • Be hard pressed to find a more exciting player who ever played the game. Loved scoring goals more than anyone, even Ovechikin IMO. But my goodness he was exciting and frigin explosive speed. We in Vancouver were lucky to have him for as long as we did.

  • I still remember this like it was yesterday. Man, that was awesome stuff! The Russian Rocket one of the very best. Miss all that...

  • Man, I remember watchin that game. One of the best I've ever seen. Bure at his best.

  • the canucks right now dont seem to have fun I dont blame them with despressed naslund leading them

  • Wow! Red hot pavel bure
