Unless I missed it, you did not cover the bit about setting the xt Live output circuit to what you are connecting to. The xt Live will TOTALLY suck if this is not set correctly.
I agree the manual is large but I would REALLY encourage everyone to read the quick start section (about 3 pages, I think).
@strattigib yeah. this video was just the basic "how to" for a friend i sold it to. and i do recommend reading the instructions if you have them. but unfortunately when i got them i didnt get one. but i knew alot about how to hook stuff up. so that helped. I didnt realize this video would have gotten so popular as it did. if i did i would have been more detailed. but i appreciate the feedback! no harm in trying to help! have a good one!
@MrLino well custom tones is the ones you have or the person before you has created. do you mean the stock tones that it came with? and what i did with mine is i picked like a specific number in the board. mine being 13 and 14. and i made all those settings to what i really liked. i suggest finding a number or 2 in the board and using a b c d as youre own presets just set it up how you like it. the stock tones i didnt like much. hope this helped!
@chrispouliot65 Indeed it did, that's exactly what i'm doing! One thing i couldn't find though: is there a way to turn on the wah while playing? I could only find a way to enable it and save as a preset, but i would like to active and inactive it as i'm playing. is it possible?
@MrLino yes. its called toe in and toe out. the "volume"/"wah" pedal is how you activate it. go to a preset that does not already have the wah on. and i find it easier to be standing up to do this. you push with your toes on the front of the volume pedal and then the wah light will come on. then there ya go. and if you want to turn it off you simply push it again. it takes quite a bit of force but dont go stomping on it. hope this helped man! good luck and enjoy!
@MrLino Line 6 also makes an add-on "gas pedal" like thingy that connects to the Pedal 2 jack on the xt Live. This allows you to have separate Wah an volume. I always hated having to go to max volume to get the toe-click. This add-on is like $49 retail, I think.
@MrLino If you had installed the software on your PC or Mac and sync'd the pedal at least once, you can simply reload the original Line 6 supplied tone thru a simple USB cable to the pedal (the software on Mac is called Gear Box, I assume it would be the same on Windows). I also believe you can use this software to perform a "factory reset" which would put back all the tones and settings that it came with.
@DanJune100 True, it goes away from the xt Live forever .. BUT ....

@a300mayer yeah. clean amp channel. i got it as clean as possible. then just used the regular input. if i remembered the settings i would tell you. but i sold this amp.
It's much easier to edit via the gearbox interface. Much quicker, simpler, and clearer, also free ! All you need to do is download it from the line6 website :D
@jackakaemo never tried. you would have to get the adapter. but you could try. but the one in the aux input would be clean. and thats it. but i havent had these since this video. its the day i sold em. i got alot of individual pedals now
what was the name of that first song you played?
