@SilverDollar79, watch the singer at 2:05. He moves his mouth away from the mic to look at the keyboard, and you don't hear him sing the word "be." He's clearly not lip-synching for a moment like that to happen.
@rch9000 Wrong. The bands who performed on The smothers Bros. programs brought the backing tracks (w/o vocals) so that the band could sing live. The Blues Magoos were not lip synching, it was live. Only the music was a recording.

One of my defining moments hearing them do this LIVE on the Smothers' show. The guitarist was excellent, using an echoplex on the ending. The band is tight and pretty advanced for the time.

I've got this on a Mercury records 7". had it in both of the full sized jukeboxes I have owned. Blues Magoos.. Hell Yeah!

Great song, but stalled at #60, Spring 1967. Were there really 59 better songs getting
airplay at the time? These guys got shafted. R &R Hall of Shame, indeed.
