That is possible - it is quite an awkward piece in that the combination of large repeated chords in the right hand and octave passages in the left is hard to play with great freedom.
When I play piano I move in such a way to avoid getting tense or stiff. I sometimes have to play for over three hours at a stretch so it is important to be able to do that!
As for Heller's Songs without words his Op. 105 is titled Drei Lieder ohne Worte (Three Songs without Words). I have the sheets but have never heard them played. Would anybody care to share a video with the internet community.
"...I believe it is sometimes known as 'Sailor's Song'..." A song, maybe. The problem is that it carries too much dynamics and notes in both hands we cant "sing" it properly like a Mendelssohn's song without words or Schubert's impromptu... Its impossible!
That's right. The repeated chords are difficult to manage on any modern piano (except perhaps one of a better quality than mine). The piece does not really run like a song without words in any event. I'm not sure where the title comes from - it is not in my copy but does appear on a listing of the studies I have seen on the Web.
Es genial como toca este señor!
