  • aww im srry for yur loss :(

  • The saddest part is I'm pretty sure that for humans rabies can be cured if taken care of immediately...

  • aww poor kid one day someone will find a cure for this virus.

  • Kaitlyn, how has your nurse studying been going?

  • SO SAD i almost cried while watching this literlly

  • You seem like a beautiful girl and I'm so sorry for your loss. Good luck in becoming a nurse, Zach would be proud of you!

  • Poor fella. Only 16 years old. It just doesn`t seem right to have to go at such a young age and in such an horiffic way.

  • I go to school with all of the Jones and had his Aunts as teachers in grade school in West Vriginia it affected everyone R.I.P Zach!

  • @bryanna5716

    Really?

I live in WV and never heard of this, where did it happen?

I'm in Berkeley county by the way...this kind of freaks me out.

  • Nothing sucks more, you can tell they were so in love. Also, everyone calling her fat. Fuck you. Kick someone while they are down, aren't you big and bad? Well she has one thing above you, she had a chance with love and got it. You'll never know love like she did.

  • this made me cry

  • Oh my gosh you didn't have to tell us I know how you feel he's in a better please

  • I'm so sorrie :(

  • im so sorry

  • Sorry for your loss, but freaking people out about bats doesn't help. Bats are a carrier for rabies but so are your sweet little puppy dogs. People need to learn not to handle things that they do not know how to correctly work with that means cats to raccoons leave it alone if you dont know what to do. Nothing needs to be eradicated more than human ignorance, think about that before you condemn any animal.

  • @RastabanPrincess89 It is not our intention to freak people out about bats. I agree - they are wonderful animals, but a bat is a wild animal. Going near any wild animal is not fair to the animal. Keep your distance and respect wildlife. And, if you wake up and find a bat in your room, please take it seriously. Not all bats carry rabies, but some do. All we're asking is that people be aware that rabies does exist in North America. Many thanks for your post.

  • @RastabanPrincess89 Bats are one of the top carriers of Rabies. As well as raccoons, skunks, bobcats, and lynxs. Those little puppy dogs should be getting their rabies shots series regularly to prevent transmission. I think people should be concerned if they find a bat in their bedroom. Its not their normal behavior to be walking around like that. Anyone reading this, if you find a wild animal in your area, dont touch it, call your local wildlife rescue to retrieve it and stay away!

  • @RastabanPrincess89 I'm pretty sure her goal was not to freak people out about bats. All she was doing was telling the story of what happened & he just happened to get it from a bat. She didn't go out of her way to warn people about bats or tell anyone to stay away from them, the bat was just part of the story. Obviously she wasn't going to say he got it from a raccoon or something if that was not the case, just to make sure she didn't say anything bad about bats. Re-watch before accusing...

  • @RastabanPrincess89 Also, even in her description, she warns people about wild animals in general and doesn't single out the bat species with the warning...The only reason she mentions them in the next sentence is because the bat is what related to her SPECIFIC story. Even after such a terrible thing happening, she shows no ill-will towards bats which is more than I can say for a lot of other people if they wound up in that situation. Like i said before, think twice before making accusations...

  • @RastabanPrincess89 The bat flew in his room and bit him while he was sleeping. He didn't know he had been bitten. Its not as if he picked the bat up and knew he was bit.

  • R.I.P. Zach and you did a wonderful thing posting this...you have saved alot of people by posting this...he is saving others by u telling his story and I hope u get some comfort knowing that.

  • there is outbreak of rabies at Svalbard, and I just heard about this story on norwegian broadcastin. Here on mainland Norway, the disease have been gone since the early seventies I think ,its a terrible disease...

  • Rest In Peace Zach

  • Who are ever saying that she's fatter you need to stop she is not fat you guys are so just shut up and stop acting like 3 year olds -_-'

  • thats so sad :(

  • ah thats too bad. Sorry Kaitlyn, but fair accidents do happen. I read about rabies a lot before though. A monkey touched my head and I got paranoid and researched about rabies on the internet. If you ever go into a room that has or has had bats you must get the rabies shot. If you ever come into close contact with bats you must get the shot too. Sometimes they bite without the bitee (ok made up word) knowing it. Any blood opened would with an animal means you'll need a rabies shot. thanks.

  • My Name is Zack, and im 16! I turn 17 On August 25th, Sorry!

  • You got a lot fatter.

  • @madisonelectronic Much much much fatter!

  • and set boundaries between ourselves and animals, We are not living on the "days of Adam and Eve. There is nothing wrong in treating animals good because we should do that to please God...but please set boundaries.

  • and my advice to all of you, please have yourselves vaccinated on a pre exposure prophylaxis or post exposure prophylaxis level.

  • @abdussalamwong Don't get yourself vaccinated and dont listen to this idiot. You only need vaccinations if you're going to somewhere remote without a hospital. But you need treatment within 10 days of exposure (however 3 days is the most safest level). Even with a vaccination you still need the treatments for rabies. The vaccinations aren't certain with anything. It's proven that only the post rabies exposure treatments will help. They do help 100% of the time.

  • Zach is in a better place now where there is only peace, no pain, no agony and no fear and eventually may God guide him to his kingdom on the judgement day. Have a peaceful life there Zach, I'll pray for you. I think bats of all kinds should be eradicated completely, I know it sounds inhumane to animals but we have no choice, we don't want to see another innocent victim die. Satan is using bats to destroy precious lives.

  • @abdussalamwong You sir are a very ignorant man.Bats eat an enormous amount of insects every single night. Without bats Human Beings would be overrun by insects. Nature is in balance you cannot eradicate one species without upsetting the balance and creating more problems. Educate yourself about bats and all other of Gods creatures before you go advocating the wholesale destruction of a whole species.

  • omg fk bats.

  • "He's in a better place" ??? Didn't you hear? God's not real...

  • I live in Fl, and I got bitten by a stray cat, I called animal control and literally everywhere to know where I can get a rabies shot and cuz is the weekend no one answers...should i be concern? should I go to the ER or wait until Monday to talk to health department..?

  • while i was watching this video i was just like damn.. i am so sorry for you girl.

  • bad bat and no I'm not trying 2 be funny

  • shiit, that sucks... R.I.P to ur luv one.

  • Thumbs up if you cried

  • @KoljiSK You're a ton ugly, so fucking ugly that if I saw you I'd tie you to a bed and dig your eyes out with a machete. Worthless piece of shit.

  • Comment removed

  • @KoljiSK - Ugly? The only thing ugly hear is the creature that birthed you into existence. That's why you have an "ugly" obsession, even in the midst of a tragic story.

@RabiesAware - I remember when I was 17 reading the story of a 17 year old boy dying from a bite of a bat and I cried (even though he was a stranger) it's so sad. And to think, just over an innocent little bat. :(

I'm sorry for your loss. RIP Zach

  • @KoljiSK Think about what you're saying. You really mean that - faked his own death?

  • thats mean

  • Comment removed

  • @KoljiSK

    not funny...

  • im so so so sorry

  • You guys don't really have to worry. Rabies is one of the most uncommon disease I humans. And rabies in domesticated animals has been completely irradicated. And rabies doesnt even exsist in the UK. Only about 13 cases of rabies in humans have been reported in the past 20 years.

  • @Metalhead1365 It's not the point in the percent of infected people but in the fact that people aren't informed about consequences. People are dying of rabies because they don't get the vaccine on time for they often think is unnecessary. Rabies isn't a problem in the UK but mostly in underdeveloped countries. The sad thing is that the medical research association around the world haven't found any medicine for any tipe of viruses. We're too far from being secure in this full diseased world.

  • im so sorrry i want my girlfriend to vacinate her dog hence the reason i got to your vid

  • You don't actually have to get bitten to be infected.

  • i just got bit by a racoon ive had for 2 months he doesn't show any signs of rabies but im really scared he just doesn't like to get grabbed he can get touched and plays but he hates it when you grab it

  • :( Sorry for your loss...

  • im not trying to be a doush but if you get rabies do you try to bite other people because in the old western days when you had rabies they had to tie you down to a tree so you didnt bite anyone so please anwser

  • I'm very sorry for your loss. I am very very sorry...

For those who are at risk: it's very important to get to ER ASAP after you get bitten by a bat, skunk, racoon, coyotes, foxes, and sometimes, even cats.

  • 1. kids 2. USA

  • I feel so sorry for you. I need to take closer eye on what I do. I have to cats and our garden is a forest so looking at the comment below I better take care. So sorry :(

  • I am so sorry for your loss. Precious who now has it is only 8 years old. Not everyone is aware that they were exposed. She was scratched by a cat and no one knew. I guess they don't teach you that stuff in school. Most times a cat scratch is just that- this time it wasn't.

  • Ouch, that sucks. I am sorry for your loss.

  • I luv he story...sorry for us lose

  • Geez im a mom and i'll tell you my heart goes out to you and his family. I am terribly sorry for your loss. I don't know you or Zach but one does not have to know yous to feel such sadness of you losing Zach. Hold your head up honey and know he's proud of you for being able to smile in his honor. God bless your tender heart!

  • Rabies is 100% fatal once the symptoms of it begin to show. Its scary really. If anyone is bitten by an animal of any kind then go right away and get the rabies shot

  • A bat can bite you without you even noticing so if a bat comes into your house you should be on guard.Tell a doctor if you kill the bat bring it in to be tested.

  • You may not notice the first sign of Rabies within just a day. It takes almost about 3 weeks to notice. First signs are tiredness But others can take this as something else like fatigue or something. One you actually get the signs. It's too late. DX I'm SO sorry that this happened. Doctors need to get a damn cure.

  • Is there a type of rabies virus that is permanent? Like makes things rabid and not die... You get what I mean?

  • @iiVegasTV You mean like 28 days later etc. No, that's merely a plot device

  • @TehCheese Anything like a zombie virus.. I'm childish & if the world ends in 2012, then it better be an undead uprising, or I'll be pissed! XD

  • @iiVegasTV Man you really let the movies get to your head. They're movies for a reason buddy.

  • @emjaiz My hopes, don't diss on my beliefs.. C'mon, you trying to say that an undead uprising to end the world isn't cool. Like if it just ended overnight, would be boring.. Atleast we have a chance of survival then.. And the idea of 'zombies' is from African Tribal rituals from 100's of years ago... Movies have origins.

  • So sorry about your loss god bless you and him i hope you feel better

  • So sorry about your loss god bless him and you

  • :'(

  • 6 ppl love rabies!!!

  • thats so sad im sorry for you Kaitlyn

  • I am so scared of the virus rabies. I have OCD and one day, something tapped my shoulder. My mind keeps thinking it was a bat because you may not recoginize (feel) a bat bite.

  • Sorry to hear the tragic news...

    May God embrace him.

I cured myself from Staphylococcus Lugdunensis.

I was going to die the doctors said but I didnt take that as any option and did some research.

I used Colloidal Silver and Olive Leaf Extract.

Its insane how fast Colloidal Silver cleaned out the Brain Membranes from bacteria. Only took 5-10 minutes and you could feel the depressurizing of the brain membranes and it felt like a kick.

Never take NO for a answer !!!

    God Bless.

  • So sorry about Zach. I remember this when this happened in the news and I was so sure he would pull through with the technology we have, but rabies is so fatal. My heartfelt condolences.

  • @starrynightz It was really, really sad. But, yes, rabies is 100% fatal. Dr. Rodney Willoughby was very successful in saving the life of Jeanna Giese who is well and in college. The only way to really prevent getting rabies is to get the shots if you are bitten by a wild animal or any domestic animal that is not current on its rabies vaccinations.

  • Rest in Peace Zach !!!

    you will be always remembered

  • R.i.P Bro .

  • @icedragonSg The problem was that there were no bite marks. Yes, if he or his parents had found a bite mark or a scratch, they would have had it checked out. But, there weren't any.

  • @rabiesaware Wow... So the bat never bit Zach? How do they know then that the bat gave him rabies?

  • @icedragonSg

Is it now any good to say all that stuff.

My heartful condolences to Zach. May his soul rest in peace.

  • RIP Zach Jones xx

  • @thepinkemo11 Thank you.

  • did he get bitten or what? or did he just touch the saliva?

  • @xH4rdcore There were no bite marks. No one really knows.

  • haha

  • sOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry

  • I thought Zach Jones was murder by 3 men?

  • @LVishere Not this Zach Jones. He passed away from rabies.

  • This is sad. Seeing a live bat flying in your room is a red flag as bats are nocturnal meaning they should be a sleep during the day.

2 Months? After being infected you die in 6 days without treatment. They should of did the Milwaukee protocol on him. :-(

  • @oursedatedyouth

point A) use google and read up on rabies and the latter symptoms called "hydrophobia".. after you attain "hydrophobia" you die in six days +/- a few.

and point B) its they should have DONE the... not did.. DONE..

  • At 0:35, Kaitlyn states that a "few months-2 months later," he had all the symptoms and eventually died.

I've done my research and NO ONE CAN have rabies for that long without dying after a few days of infection. This girl needs to get her shit straight. However, rabies IS SERIOUS, so don't be a retard, see a doctor ASAP if you have an encounter with an animal that might be infected with rabies. Sorry but not knowing that bats can carry rabies is proof that some people need to read more books.

  • @ItDiesToday1 not sure what kind of research you've done but the average incubation period for rabies is 30-60 days and can actually be as long as two years so the fact that zach started showing symptoms about 2 months later sounds right to me.

  • @lomax555 the closer to the brain the sooner it shows.

  • @ItDiesToday1

    you sir, are a failure.

  • Comment removed

  • Does anybody else...get the feeling shes being totally fake?

  • @GhostWatcher55 i know you probably said that to get attention, but really? thats a very senseless thing to say. Go read up about Rabies and learn about the terrible things it does to your body. You'll cringe at how devastating it is. Grow up and learn how to be sympathetic.

  • @spazcrunch I've seen and read about rabies I have a book on diseases. I still think shes acting and I dont' care what you think. And Yes I am not symathetic.

  • @GhostWatcher55 well I guess that's that then. I just dont see how someone could be that cruel to make up a story like that. Since you've a book on diseases, look up the disease Tetanus. It's a pretty nasty result of a specific bacteria (look that up to). Happy reading

  • @GhostWatcher55 This is real as rabies cases in humans MUST be documented with the National Center for Disease Control. And guess what? Zach Jones is in there.

  • It's been shown that rabies can be spread via aerosol transmission, much like someone catching a cold from a sick person's sneeze. If some of the bat's saliva or fluid from any other mucus membrane was sprinkled into his mouth, eyes, or nose, he could have gotten rabies without the bat having ever bitten him. That is why if you EVER come into close contact with a bat, especially if it's confused (as it must be if it entered your house), you should get vaccinated within 72 hours.

  • im sorry kaitlyn for your loss...be strong girl

  • Batman raped me in my sleep

  • @bransta08 whats wronge with you, he DIED he was young, he was a good person from what i know. that isn't appropiet

  • Batman raped me in my sleep

  • @LolHaiIRdoinstuff

fuck you someone DIED you heartless bitch

  • @LolHaiIRdoinstuff people like you are better of dead.

  • @LolHaiIRdoinstuff I'm guessing your a guy... I don't know what makes you so fucking stupid, But it really works. And I have always woundered why people bang their heads against brick walls..... then I met you. Don't bother leaving a message.

  • @LolHaiIRdoinstuff And btw, Why don't you go outside any play hide and go f**k yourself, You fucking dick.

  • v said

  • im sorry

  • very sad

  • wow.. didnt know anyone could die of rabbis .... I mean... wow... better beware of rabbi's with bats.

  • @Zrcalo Once you're symptomatic, it becomes a death sentence.

  • @jzev unless vaccinated

  • @johnybrovo2008

Vaccination is ineffective by the time symptoms set in.The immune system cannot penetrate the BBB (Blood Brain Barrier) to aid the brain (where the virus will be when symptoms start).

  • @johnybrovo2008 When neurological symptoms appear, there's really not much they can do. Death is almost certain.

  • rabbies and ebola, so damn contagious

  • @assafwak9 Why are you acting so gay? I bet your the kinda fag that would fuck a boy in the ass and not even give him the common courtesy to give him a reach around.

  • @808Hea im not a selfish lover i'll give you a reach around just make sure you keep your cheeks spread for me so i can go deep

  • @assafwak9 Your small penis must remind you of your ego.

  • @808Hea it reminds me of how tight your asshole is when i donkey punch you while im hitting it like a woodpecker

  • Terrible, terrible story :( I feel so very fortunate that I live in one of the few countries (New Zealand) that is, and has always been, rabies free.

  • sad story. I sure hope i dont get rabies.

  • @BillxMach Me too. But, now you know that if you wake up and there's a bat flying around your room - go see a doctor ASAP. Thanks for watching.

  • @rabiesaware Ill keep that in mind.

  • @rabiesaware ill definitely do that..

  • @rabiesaware

Oh wow, so he didn't even know it bit him? That's crazy.

  • @rabiesaware btw if it was a bite it was usual time for bats ya know middle of the night so maybe i rolled over on it XD but seriously answer plz

  • @BillxMach did you had a dog at your house

  • well, did you at least give him one last blowjob?

  • sad story

  • rabies incubation period can be up to 15 years so if you have been bitten/scratched by wild animals its wise to get anti-rabies shot.

  • @StarlightCrystal Totally agree!

  • @StarlightCrystal Yeah, for sure. Even if you have a bat in your house (bite or no bite) if you can't get the animal tested, get the shots! This poor young man never knew he was bitten.

  • @mustwinder You got it! Neither Zach nor his parents could find a bite - his mom kept asking him if he were bit and he said no. She checked his head, arms, hand - nothing. No one knew. It's a very tragic event.

  • @rabiesaware I think bats have very small teeth. If you're able to kill the bat you definitely should send it to the state (or CDC) for testing. I read Zach's story on a website, it sounds as if he had classic symptoms like intractable insomnia and flu-like symptoms. All I could think about is trying to find a cure for this terrible disease. It still kills more than 50,000 people world-wide and in most countries, people suffer horribly before they die. RIP Zach....

  • Its been 2 months since i was scratched by a wild racoon and i dont seem to have any rabies signs so im totally fine =)

  • @MsCoronaShow Did you ever have the scratch checked out by a doctor?

  • im sorry

  • Thats pretty haggard....havin bats flyin around ur room.

  • Lol iam glad he was a dick head

  • @MrJacko44 Why would you say something like that?

  • @rabiesaware Because MrJacko44 is an ignorant troll.

I'm so sorry this happened. :( Thanks for sharing.

  • @theladydm Thank you for taking this seriously. It would be good if @MrJacko44 did the same.

  • @MrJacko44 dude wtf is wrong with you? it's really not funny

  • @MrJacko44 What the fuck is your problem?!!

  • @MrJacko44

    You're a dipshit

  • @MrJacko44 we know all this internet thing is all new to you... seeing boobs for the first time.. bla bla bla. but trolling a video. that actually tells a story about a kid with dreams. just dying at 16 is fucked up. get off the internet!

  • @MrJacko44 YEAH that kid was a serious dick. taking my money and dying with out paying me wtf

  • @emmer951 I'm not even going to comment on what you're talking about. I think @DrumNBassHero and @Lynviking really said it well.

  • Imma sorry for you :/

  • may he rest in peace

  • Hugs sweetie!! Live your dream and it will be great

  • I think i might have rabies, i got scratch by a wild raccoon during the day when i was in my yard, today but it is very small scratch didnt draw any blood but its red scratch and its really itchy and it feels like its twitching, i dont kno if that is a sign of rabies, i dont want to go to the hospital tho it is too expensive so i will wait and hope its not rabies

  • @MsCoronaShow Uhh. If you're being serious, I'm not really sure if this is a sick joke, but that is a symptoms of rabies. Go to the hospital.

  • @MsCoronaShow its just a normal scratch. It could be infected though, because i could imagine the raccoon would of been walking around in dirt and stuff, and it would be under its calws. Whenever you get cut by something you should always use a disenfectent to clean it. You can't have rabies, because rabies is transfered with saliva :). Hope i helped.

  • @MsCoronaShow dude go to the hospital NOW!!!!

  • @MsCoronaShow If you hope it's not rabies, and it is.. then it's too late. Better go get it checked out. At the very least you might have an infection. A scratch from any animal needs to be tended too, and especially a wild animal like a raccoon. Take care!

  • What a horrible and shocking way to die. I'm so sorry for your loss. *Never touch a bat with your bare hand. If you find a bat in your room, assume you've been bitten. Their teeth are so tiny that you'd never feel it. Get the shots.

  • oh no... stay out from wild animals.

  • awww :(

  • So sorry for your loss, I can't imagine it.

  • @Scrap5000 The reason Kaitlyn told me her story was that she doesn't want this to ever happen to anyone else. Rabies exists in the U.S. - a lot of people think it doesn't, but it does. If you wake up and find a bat in your room, take it very seriously and get help. Call your local animal control - you need to have the bat tested for rabies. If the bat gets out and can't be tested - just go see your doctor and get the vaccine. Don't take any chances.

  • @rabiesaware YES, this is all 100% correct. 55,000 people a yer die from it...mostly in developing nations, but there has been an increase in the US, mostly from bats. So terribly sorry about your loss...

  • Why no tears?

  • @1sonofdime It's hard to see, but she is crying. As the filmmaker, it was really a very difficult story for her to tell and for me to hear. My heart really went out to Kaitlyn.
