can any of you refer me to any artists or albums with this kind of soul style? I've listened to a lot of badu and gil scott, but something more on the instrumental side.
@GospelMusicians Hey Jamal! I noticed you are playing with your EX5 here in the video if correct. I'm curious whether you are using samples or a voice in the EX5. I like the sound you are getting out of it. Very smooth. Thanks! - Jim
Hey jamal i play piano but i know a little of the bass such as where the notes at and the frets. Im pretty sure my fingering is wrong since no one taught me. Do you think this dvd is for someone like me? Also can you still learn if you have a 4 string bass i see ivan has a 5 string?
their optimistic engineering of wonderful music and huge smiles of professional excellence pains me as I slowly tilt my head towards my bass guitar wondering why.
this is definitely a divine connection!! omg you guys flow so well together. and JAMAL if you would hit that chord one more time i woulda through my monitor across the room! lol
much success to you all! i pray God will continue to enlarge the territory to take BACK real music!
Muito legal mesmo! Uma ótima forma de estudar o estilo, a técnica e a linguagem da música negra norte-americana! Valeu! que Deus abençõe vocês e este trabalho!
Thank You for putting mainstage on blast. My rig consist of my Fantom X6 and my mac running logic and Motu's BPM. Im very mobile with a back pack and gig bag. I may get a 76 key controller.
That's a lot of explaining....I hate PC's. Macs are more stable, has firewire, and is built for music, audio, and video. If you buy the new Logic Studio, it comes with Mainstage that allows you to play and control plugins live. I use the M-Audio 1610 Profire through firewire that has all the audio ins and outs and MIDI. I connect my MIDI and audio outs and I'm ready to go!

Byron is a real clown! I guess he puts the gold tooth in when he needs to play something funky... gives him that extra edge.. Must be working! :D

@rnolasco70 This DVD is a little advanced for you. It requires that you have a pretty good fingering structure and you have been playing a few years.

Jamal, the Rhodes-sound is it from a plug-in on your Mac?
HammondB200 2 years ago
It's a Plug-in from my Mac! I don't use keyboard sounds anymore. I play everything from my Mac using Logic MainStage!
GospelMusicians 2 years ago
is that thaat dude whos plays the keyboard on the drums? i forget his name... but you had a jam session with him along time ago...

Hey Jamal,
Can you please explain that set-up in further detail!??
I'm looking to make a similar transition to save up on the cash... Please explain the advantage of Mac Vs. PC....
Sound module Vs. computer (& audio interface)
and Logic MainStage Vs. Everything else!!
THANKS!!
