I was just wondering if you replaced your CDFP. Apparently the one in the MS3 can't handle the needs of larger Pre-cat piping and can cause damage. If you haven't, I'd suggest upgrading the internals with the PTP on protegegarage(dot)com. Nice car though. I'm a big fan of CS.

Sounds really good. Debating now whether to bother doing the cs dp too. What's it like under load? In answer to a previous post my old mps had cs dp rp and hks cb. As soon as I put the dp on it totally changed the sound much more than the rp and cb did.

@goalkeepet There is no way the rx8 sounds like that. I currently own both a speed3 and an 8 with exhaust and the rotary sound is was raspier. My ms3 has a much deeper tone with a hint of subie which I love!..

ey man, i was thinking tint my taillights, but they guy has darker tints for them, how did you do yours? and whats the dark percentage?

@SalVatioN2011 Mine are tinted as well. The guy who did them only had two options and I went with the darker of the two... It's called Oracal 8300.

@TheDjpachanga Those are the stock wheels powdercoated black. The brake lights have a tint film put over them to make them look darker.

Im debating on which SRI to get. Is the TIP necessary if you aren't going to do anything else other to your car other than an Intake? Have you tried any other SRI's? Why'd you go with CorkSport? Thanks!

@Jaebird82 The TIP isn't necessary, however, the Corksport SRI comes with the TIP included. I went with CS because they were local to me, I have a good relationship with them, they make quality stuff, the price was rights, and it came with the TIP.

@skeurton No dyno yet... Someday though. I've never gotten a CEL from anything I've put on the car... I've never gotten a CEL period. And according to the Cobb AP (stage 2), all my fuel trims look to be spot on.

Thanks for the info! Will keep in mind. After the intake I think I will wait to put the race pipe, CBE, and maybe the TMIC at the same time as a new fuel pump w/ tune. I could also use a better rear motor mount once that is all done. But I'm in no rush to get all this : 3 btw in this vid, is ure car lowered? If not is it now?

On the corksport website on the FAQ for the exhaust section, they recommend to get a new fuel pump with a tune.. Did u do that by any chance?

@ooharloo Nope, no tune, and I am planning on getting an upgraded fuel pump in the near future, but I don't currently have one... You would definitely want one with a tune. *Since this video, I got the upgraded ETS TMIC and I do get fuel cut around 5500 RPM's and I'm planning on getting the upgraded fuel pump to combat that.

If you want the one that'll put out more power, you want the one without the catalyst, it'll flow better. You want the one with the catalyst if you're concerned any about emissions testing.

All I can really talk about is the MS3, and I haven't heard anything negative (mechanically wise) from anyone else that owns one, myself included. I'm on 3 different Mazda forums and no one has any major problems with their car, an you shouldn't either as long as you maintain it properly. What I can say about the VW is that it costs more than the MS3 and if something were to mechanically go wrong with the VW, it would cost considerably more to get fixed than the MS3. hey what sup man . i am about to get a new car and im debating on the mazdaspeed3 or the new gti .both 2010 .. the only thing setting me off bout the mazda is if it is durable .. i mean is the clutch and transsmission well made and other components becouse i have friends with the older versions and they would complain that the car breaks eassilly if your not carefull with your driving. as the vw gti has better reviews at least about durability .. any comments?
