ABC ran these for years. First on Saturday mornings, then on Sunday mornings. What killed the ratings was that there were so few cartoons done the first season that you saw them all three times. The rest of the program was repeated every other week. Then the second season consisted of cartoons from the first season and one new one. You got tired of seeing the same stories repeated.

Somebody somewhere once said that their turning green and falling down was sort of a cliffie. This was the first episode and nobody knew whether there would be a second. One said they just fainted (smiling), and someone else said they'd died of fright. I guess the cartoonists wanted to leave that open. God bless ABC for keeping them on.
