may i suggest you store your stuff in rolling storage boxes for quick movement. if you had to load up you car or van in 3 minutes how much could you take
You people need to warn your relatives outside you immediate family to get prepared. Your friends should be warned also, and if they do not heed you, then they have to die. I would never trade anybody anything, because they may be luring you to see what you got, then kill you, and your whole family to take what you have. It's best to not trust anybody when this coming evil overtakes everybody. You best worry only about your immediate family, and if those who have been warned don't heed they die.
I will never understand why people make public what they have. It's one thing to offer advice to people, but lots of people are showing exactly what they have. WHY? It's stupidity. Possibly suicide.
Yugoslavia also isn't exactly a third world country and had some serious hyperinflation in the early 90ies. Useless governments at it again.
By the way approx. between a quarter and a half gallon per person a day is definitely sufficient if you don't wash and don't eat a lot of salty foods ;o)
And I wouldn't use ammo or tobacco as bartering items because those things tend to make people greedy when they know you have it.
Bug out bags are always a good idea, I would hate for an earthquake to rupture a gas line and send all your suplies into flames. Good to have a portable backup.
Stuff looks nice and NEW, don't forget to use and practice with your gear. That would suck if crap hits the fan and you find out your shiny generator has a broken valve or something.
You dont need a gallon of water to survive....i dont know where he got that figure from????
As far as i know you would need upto 3 litres a day....thats if you were walking miles, and sweating a lot.
You can survive on minimal amounts of water....you can be dehydrated for weeks on end without dying as long as the conditions permit...ie you have shelter.
I like this one because like he states..all the idiots are gunna go live on public land...i think not....evenually maybe we would have to leave...i always like to keep candles and a few bags of rice in a bag ...along with the medical and normal survival equipment.doubt carrying a weapon will help, remember this kinda thing will most likely be over a month after it starts
Everyone forgets water. Humans need a gallon a day.
Katadyn Survivor is the only water purification system that can pump fresh water from ANY tainted water source, including sea water, urine (like on the space station) AND its FAST. 35 gallons a day or 6 gallons a day for the smaller one.
i noticed you said you have 1000 rounds of 9mm in a .50 cal ammo can. i took my 9mm ammo out of the boxes and put the 50 rounds in a 3X5 inch zip lock bag i got from a crafts store. i can hold 1000 rounds of 9mm in a .30 cal ammo can. the can says "200 cartridges 7.62mm M13". the 50 round packs are just as easy to grab but take less space to store. just a thought.
I disagree with the "idiot" statement about using bug-out bags and decide to be nomads. You said "its rediculas, where are you gonna go, whats your plan?", but thats the point, you plan down to the last detail, I agree national parks may not be the best but thats why you should map terrain now, find the most desolate spots, preferably with a stream, maybe a shore, with no roads close by also. I agree with what your doing but it is also good to learn the primal skills for worst case scenarios.
@jkatz44 I think that depends on preference, intent of the BOB, and the likely emergencies you may face. I personally just have my EDC, extra 'auto-specific' survival items in my car, my bag in my house, along with my major home survival items. This does mean if I am out and about and a sudden emergency occurs I will be working my way back to my home. My state is very sunny and has earth quakes. These factors make me keep the bag in the home. I can grab it and be outside in seconds.
@Winter077 usually around one year. then it starts to delude. i got several gerry cans in storage. i try to use it up in a little before a year then refill them,
Bug out bag is more for something like Katrina or the flooding going on right Now I just have to travel 12 miles inti the woods to my cabin that's not registered any where that's where I have it stocked up I would seperate ur fuel u don't want it to all go up in o e flame
yes i will go out into the wilderness for 3 months and live off squirrels water and i will wipe my ass with pine needles, but really the reason I have a bug out bag is because I will try and get to my hide out and it would just be nice to have on the way there or some one steals all of your food in your house and your guns but your BOB is hidden thats the way i see it double security
If I buy ammo to keep with my supplies for trading, it will be 9mm. I'll keep the 45 ACP and 50AE for myself. If I trade rifle ammo it will be small caliber and I'll keep the high caliber for myself. But don't downgrade the value of .22 short rifle, it makes very little noise and if the SHTF you might want to be able to hunt deer and pigs without shooting a 30.06 and attracting a lot of attention.
Good idea, that's what I think, if we have a long SHTF senario such as if through panic or other reasons the oil industry collapses and we go into a period of famine. Ammo will be valuable, not necessarily guns. Cars will be worthless but gasoline will hold value. Canned food will hold value and even whisky and rum. Things that are consumed will hold value.
you're gonna "barter" ammo for food... this would be how i see the scenerio: *two groups meet* "hey, got any food..we are running low" "yea we have food but no ammo for our guns" oh that's ok!' *hands ammo for food* "thanks for the food! "no thanks for the ammo" *loads guns, shoots people, takes food back" lmao
Check out local surplus store and get your hands on a 55 gallons water container for a few bucks. The wrench for it almost equals half the cost of the barrel. Or NANO CARBON CAnteens... they make drinkable water from anything for 1 year for 1 person.
Now is indeed the time for all of us to get ready for what is to come... Good video man... Like you said the "Nomad" thing isn't the way to go... Your home is your fort and that is where we have the best chance. But if ya gotta go ya gotta go...
I agree. I didnt want to respond for the same reasons but I thought him a bit off on the comment that your dont need MRE's at all. I didnt wnat to get into why you do and why he is wrong, but I think it was said best that you have to consider the circumstances etc. other than that great video and for the most part this guy is dead on.
Good stocking here, however i think it is presumptuous to consider those who go "nomad" to be "ridiculous"...i think one should choose options depending on the scenario, and the abilities and resources of the individual.
not trying to start an argument here, i just think one should consider all the possibilities and make decisions based on the situation rather than a rigid preconception. various contingency plans may be needed.
If you hold up in your house and start shooting at people you think are threats, all they have to do is light your house on fire and wait for you to come running out then shoot you. Then all that stockpile is useless and your not prepared to "Bug Out".
thats why if you can you pre determine a buggout hideout, it only costs about 100$ to build a small cabin deep in the woods, dig out a cellar and line it with what have you and you have a storage area. Plus you can forage and hunt to make your stores last longer
survivalblog dot come has a wealth of information. remember if your food smells others you didn't invite to dinner will eventually come knocking so be prepared for them to.

solar panels from Harbor frieght are around $250 each that is not cheap but saves on gasoline prices but to be any good you will need at less three panels to charge enough batteries to run the house
Gasoline or Petrol will degrade if left in a gas tank unused for a year due to chemical breakdown and water absorbsion. Recommend a gas rejuvinator like 'Resore' or 'DriGas'
Yup. Had to learn the hard way. A good idea would actually be to rotate this stock as it is prone to the environment as you said. A month or two would be a good timeframe I would imagine. If you're keeping enough for a year...better take those extra precautions. :)
hey man let me tell you, that shit happends good to know you are preapare, i live in venezuela and a situation like that happened in december 2002/jan 2003there was an oil strike, and there was no fuel for nothing no gas, no food, i wish i was prepared like you by that time. in times like this you just appreciate everything and many stupid things are the must useful like a bycicle and a propane gas tank.
